AND AS YOU ALL KNOW, WE HAVE BEEN RECOGNIZING EACH MONTH THE CAMPUS BECAUSE WE THINK IT'S IMPORTANT FOR OUR COMMUNITY TO UNDERSTAND THE NAMES ON OUR CAMPUSES WHERE THEY CAME FROM BE ABLE TO SEE THE STUDENTS THAT ATTEND THOSE CAMPUSES.

AND IT'S BEEN SUCH A GREAT SUCCESS.

AND EACH PRINCIPAL EVERY SINGLE MONTH HAS ANTED UP AND OUTDID THEIR, THEIR PRINCIPAL FROM THE LAST MONTH.

SO I'M VERY EXCITED TO SEE THAT.

SO, MISS BLACKWELL TAKE IT AWAY.

ALL RIGHT TONIGHT, I AM SO HONORED AND EXCITED TO INTRODUCE CINDY KENNAMER.

SHE IS OUR QUEST TEACHER, AND OUR STUDENTS HERE ARE GOING TO SHOW OFF THEIR CODERS.

GOOD EVENING. I'M THRILLED TO SHARE THE INCREDIBLE IMPACT OUR AFTER SCHOOL CODER CLUB AT ROCKENBAUGH ELEMENTARY.

IT WAS ESTABLISHED IN 2018, AND THIS CLUB HAS BEEN A BEACON OF INNOVATION AND LEARNING FOR OUR STUDENTS FROM KINDERGARTEN THROUGH FOURTH GRADE.

THROUGHOUT THE SCHOOL YEAR EACH GRADE LEVEL GETS THE CHANCE TO IMMERSE THEMSELVES IN THE WORLD OF CODING.

AT THE HEART OF OUR CODER CLUB IS THE OPPORTUNITY FOR OUR STUDENTS TO DELVE INTO THE WORLD OF CODING THROUGH ROBOTICS, UTILIZING DOT AND DASH ROBOTS, LEGO, SPIKE PRIME, AND ESSENTIAL KITS. OUR YOUNG LEARNERS ARE NOT JUST PLAYING WITH TOYS, THEY ARE ENGAGING IN HANDS ON, INTERACTIVE EDUCATION THAT FOSTERS CREATIVITY, PROBLEM SOLVING, AND CRITICAL

[00:05:04]

THINKING SKILLS.

ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL ASPECTS OF OUR CODER CLUB IS THE CULTURE OF MENTORSHIP IT CULTIVATES.

STUDENTS IN GRADES THREE AND FOUR HAVE THE UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY TO UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY TO MENTOR THEIR YOUNG, YOUNGER PEERS IN KINDERGARTEN FIRST GRADE.

THEY NOT ONLY THIS NOT ONLY SOLIDIFIES THEIR UNDERSTANDING OF CODING CONCEPTS, BUT ALSO INSTILLS IN THEM THE SENSE OF RESPONSIBILITY AND LEADERSHIP.

TONIGHT, WE HAVE THE PLEASURE OF WITNESSING THE FRUITS OF OUR STUDENT'S LABOR, AS SOME OF OUR FOURTH GRADE PARTICIPANTS PRESENT THEIR PROJECTS.

THESE PROJECTS NOT ONLY SHOWCASE THEIR TECHNICAL PROWESS, BUT ALSO THEIR ABILITY TO THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX AND APPLY THEIR KNOWLEDGE IN REAL WORLD SCENARIOS AND ENTERTAINMENT.

SO HERE WE GO.

HELLO, MY NAME IS KATHERINE.

HELLO, MY NAME IS EVELYN.

THIS IS ELVIS AND THIS IS SUZY.

ARE YOU TIRED OF HAVING NOTHING TO DO? WELL, LOOK NO FURTHER.

THESE ARE THE ROBOTS FOR YOU.

THEY LIKE TO LAUGH, THEY LIKE TO SING, AND THEY LIKE AND THEY'RE A WHOLE LOT OF FUN.

GOOD JOB GIRLS [APPLAUSE]. HI, I'M VISHAN AND I'M ZACK. ME AND ZACK HAVE MADE ROBOTS TO HELP SORT TRASH AND RECYCLE.

WE GOT THIS BY HAVING THE THE QUALITY CHECK MACHINE, CHECK IF IT'S TRASH OR RECYCLING.

IF IT'S TRASH, THEN WE SCAN AND PUT IT INTO THE TRASH MACHINE.

AND THIS IS HOW THEY WORK.

WE PUT THE WE PUT THE BRICK.

OH, SORRY IF IT'S TRASH.

OH, SORRY. IT'LL IT'LL GIVE AN ALARM SOUND SAYING IT'S WRONG.

IF IT'S RECYCLE LIKE A YELLOW, IT WILL GIVE THE CONNECT SOUND.

SAYING IT'S A RECYCLE.

IF IT'S TRASH, IT WILL GO INTO THE TRASH MACHINE.

RECYCLE [ROBOT].

THEN THE TRASH.

THEN IT'LL GIVE A CONNECT SOUND, WHICH WILL BE GOOD.

OKAY. AND THESE ARE OUR TRASH ROBOTS [APPLAUSE]. HI, I'M MCKAY, AND I'M HARRISON.

WE HAVE BEEN STUDYING MARS ROVERS AND HAVE BUILT A TRAVEL METHOD TO GET AND THE GADGET TO GET ROCK SAMPLES THESE ARE OUR ROBOTS.

WE HAVE A BIKE TO TRAVEL ACROSS THE MARS SURFACE AND A CLAW TO GRAB SAMPLES WITHOUT GETTING OFF THE BIKE.

AND AND THESE ARE.

THIS IS HOW IT WORKS.

ALL RIGHT. [APPLAUSE]

[00:10:20]

MIC] [APPLAUSE] GREAT JOB STUDENTS! IT'S NO WONDER WE ALWAYS WIN THE STATE CHAMPIONSHIP IN ROBOTICS.

THEY START AT SUCH A YOUNG AGE.

GREAT JOB.

WOULD YOU LIKE US TO READ ABOUT ROCKENBAUGH? YES, WE LOVE IT. WELL, AS YOU KNOW, THESE WERE MY CAPTAINS SO I DO HAVE TO DO A LITTLE SHOUT OUT BEFORE I HAVE MY SPECIAL GUESTS HERE TODAY.

I WANTED YOU TO KNOW AND ACKNOWLEDGE THE RECENT PARTICIPATION OF OVER 100 STUDENTS, PARENTS, TEACHERS AND ADMINISTRATORS FOR THE CARROLL ELEMENTARY, JOHNSON ELEMENTARY, ROCKENBAUGH ELEMENTARY, AND WALNUT GROVE ELEMENTARY AND THE COWTOWN KIDS 5K RACE THIS PAST SATURDAY.

SO YOU NOTICE SOME OF THEM WERE WEARING THEIR SHIRTS TODAY.

AND I JUST WANTED YOU ALL TO KNOW WE REPRESENTED US VERY WELL.

WE WERE WE ARE CALLED THE CARROLL CARROLL ISD ELEMENTARY DRAGONS AND WE HAD OVER 100.

SO I WAS REALLY PROUD OF THEM AND I WANTED TO HAVE A SHOUT OUT [APPLAUSE].

THAT'S GREAT. SO TONIGHT I'D LIKE TO MY SPECIAL GUEST TO COME UP AND TELL THE STORY OF ROCKENBAUGH.

MY NAME IS ARDEN AND MY FAVORITE SUBJECT IS MATH.

AS THE SCHOOL CONTINUES TO IMPROVE, IT REMAINS DEEPLY ROOTED IN THE PRINCIPLES ESTABLISHED BY MR.

[00:15:05]

ROBERT H. ROCKENBAUGH, LEAVING A LASTING LEGACY FOR THE SOUTHLAKE COMMUNITY AND BEYOND.

REMEMBER, THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE ROCKENBAUGH.

WOW. THANK YOU [APPLAUSE]. ALL RIGHT.

THANK YOU SO MUCH, MISS BLACKWELL.

ALL OF THE ROCKENBAUGH STUDENTS.

Y'ALL DID GREAT. THANK YOU SO MUCH.

AND THANK YOU FOR ATTENDING OUR SCHOOLS.

I HOPE YOU ARE GETTING AN AWESOME EDUCATION AND HAVING A GREAT TIME IN CLASS.

I KNOW THAT YOU LOVE YOUR PRINCIPAL.

SHE'S ONE OF THE BEST IN THE STATE OF TEXAS, SO THANK YOU VERY MUCH [APPLAUSE].

CAN I GET A SHOW OF HANDS.

OF ALL THE TRUSTEES WHO PLAN ON BEING HERE FOR 20 YEARS, LIKE MR. ROCKENBAUGH. HE DESERVES A NAME ON HIS SCHOOL IF HE WAS A TRUSTEE FOR 20 YEARS.

SO THANK YOU FOR THAT BIT OF HISTORY.

WE REALLY APPRECIATE THAT.

OKAY. WE'RE GOING TO GO INTO OUR NEXT ROUND OF BOARD RECOGNITIONS.

WE'RE GOING TO DO THIS A LITTLE BIT DIFFERENTLY.

THE NEXT 4.2 THROUGH 4.5 ENDING IN ROBOTICS.

WE WOULD LIKE FOR YOU TO COME UP AND THEN WE WILL IF YOU CAN STAY UNTIL THE END OF ROBOTICS.

I THINK WE DECIDED THAT WE'RE JUST GOING TO ALL GO DOWN AT ONE TIME AND THEN FILTER EACH OF THE THE GROUPS THROUGH TO TAKE PICTURES.

I THINK THAT WILL BE BETTER THAN US JUST STANDING UP AND GO DOWN EACH TIME.

SO OUR NEXT BOARD RECOGNITION IS ITEM 4.2 WRESTLING.

I KNOW ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL MISS PANJABI WILL INTRODUCE OUR FABULOUS WRESTLING COACH.

TAKE IT AWAY. OKAY.

THANK YOU. GOOD EVENING.

MY NAME IS KOMAL PANJABI.

I'M THE ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL, ONE OF THE ASSISTANT PRINCIPALS AT THE HIGH SCHOOL.

I'VE BEEN THERE EIGHT MONTHS, AND THIS IS PROBABLY ONE OF THE HIGHLIGHTS TO CELEBRATE THESE AMAZING COACHES, TEACHERS AND INCREDIBLE STUDENTS THAT WE HAVE.

SO IT IS MY PLEASURE TO INTRODUCE WE'LL START WITH OUR WONDERFUL WRESTLING COACH, JOE HATHAWAY, WHO IS HERE TO INTRODUCE THE WRESTLING STATE CHAMPION AND STATE QUALIFIERS, MR. HATHAWAY [APPLAUSE].

THANK YOU FOR HAVING US TONIGHT.

YOU GUYS WANT TO STEP UP THIS WAY? SO WE'RE DOWN TO A COUPLE PEOPLE TONIGHT.

ONE ONE WAS RUNNING OVER FROM A BASEBALL GAME.

BUT WE'VE GOT AND THAT'S FRESHMAN TYSON GIBSON WAS A FRESHMAN STATE QUALIFIER THIS YEAR IN DISTRICT CHAMP.

ALSO HAILEY MAXWELL, SENIOR.

AND SHE WAS ALSO A DISTRICT CHAMP.

AND BOTH OF THOSE WERE STATE QUALIFIERS.

SENIOR XAVIER FLANAGAN HERE ON THE END.

THREE TIME DISTRICT CHAMPION AND TWO TIME STATE QUALIFIER.

[INAUDIBLE] SENIOR BODY GIBSON WAS A FOUR TIME DISTRICT CHAMPION AND THREE TIME STATE QUALIFIER.

AND CORA HAYES, SOPHOMORE CORA HAYES.

SHE WAS A REGIONAL CHAMPION THIS YEAR AND STATE QUALIFIER MADE IT ONE ROUND FROM THE PLACE IN THAT STATE TOURNAMENT.

AND GOT CARSON OTA IS A JUNIOR.

ALL RIGHT. CARSON IS A TWO TIME DISTRICT CHAMPION AND WAS STATE QUALIFIER THIS YEAR.

AND THEN LAST BUT NOT LEAST, WE'VE GOT DYLAN ODA.

WHOO.

[APPLAUSE] ONE OF MY FAVORITE THINGS TO DO IS EMBARRASS OUR STATE CHAMPS OVER THE YEARS.

DYLAN IS A STATE CHAMPION THIS YEAR.

HE IS A AS A SOPHOMORE.

HE WAS A STATE PLACER LAST YEAR AS A FRESHMAN.

AND THEN IMPROVED ON THAT WITH STATE CHAMPION THIS YEAR.

BEAT A REALLY TOUGH WRESTLER FROM DRIPPING SPRINGS IN THE IN STATE FINALS.

AND SO HE'S GOT A COUPLE MORE YEARS TO HOPEFULLY ADD TO THE ADD TO THE STACK THAT HE'S GOT UP THERE.

SO REALLY, REALLY PROUD OF OUR TEAM THIS YEAR.

GREAT. THEY DID A GREAT JOB THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.

AND WE'RE EXCITED ABOUT GETTING QUITE A FEW OF THEM BACK AND HAVING ANOTHER GREAT YEAR NEXT YEAR.

SO THANK YOU [APPLAUSE]. AROUND.

MRS. PANJABI, YOU'RE UP AGAIN TO INTRODUCE OUR CROSS COUNTRY COACH.

AND I'M JUST SAYING I TAUGHT TWO OUT OF FIVE OF THOSE KIDS MATH, SO I THINK THAT'S A DIRECT CORRELATION.

[LAUGHTER] THAT'S 40%.

JUST SAYING. JUST SAYING.

OUR OUTSTANDING CROSS COUNTRY PROGRAM IS LED BY THE ONE AND ONLY COACH LEONARD, WHO IS HERE TO INTRODUCE A VERY SPECIAL GATORADE CROSS COUNTRY PLAYER OF THE YEAR [APPLAUSE].

THANK YOU FOR HAVING US OUT.

IT'S AN HONOR AND A AND A PLEASURE TO COME UP AND INTRODUCE ANY TIME YOU HAVE AN ATHLETE AND A SECOND TIME COMING FOR THE RECOGNITION THAT CADEN RECEIVED THIS YEAR. HE'S A SOPHOMORE THIS SEASON.

HE HAD A FANTASTIC YEAR.

HE'S KIND OF WANTED ME TO MOVE ON WITH THIS HE PROBABLY DON'T LIKE THIS TOO MUCH, BUT HE WON DISTRICT THIS YEAR.

THEY MOVED ON AND WON REGIONALS.

AND THEN HEADING INTO THE STATE MEET, HE WON THE STATE CHAMPIONSHIP THIS YEAR AT THE SIX A LEVEL.

AND THEN WE MOVED INTO NIKE REGIONALS AND HE GOT THIRD AT NIKE REGIONALS.

[00:20:04]

AND THEN WE QUALIFIED FOR NIKE NATIONALS, WHICH IS 199 RUNNERS FROM ACROSS THE UNITED STATES.

AND HE FINISHED 21ST, WHICH WAS THE LAST ALL AMERICAN SPOT.

AND HE WAS A TOP SOPHOMORE FINISHER IN THE COUNTRY THIS YEAR.

SO REALLY PROUD OF HIM AND THE SEASON THAT HE HAS HAD [APPLAUSE].

AND PART OF THE DEAL WITH THE RECOGNITION FOR GATORADE PLAYER RUNNER OF THE YEAR.

THE THING THAT NIKKI AND I ARE MOST PROUD OF IS YOU GET TO DONATE, YOU GET $1,000 CHARITABLE GIFT, AND YOU GET TO CHOOSE AN ORGANIZATION WHO YOU WANT TO GIVE IT TO.

AND CADEN CHOSE TO GIVE IT TO DRAGON SPECIAL OLYMPICS, WHICH WE THINK IS REALLY AWESOME [APPLAUSE].

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST, WE GET TO SEE A LOT OF PEOPLE SEE SOME OF HIS ELEMENTARY TEACHERS HERE, AND HE IS A DRAGON THROUGH AND THROUGH.

HE WAS AT HIS FIRST MEET WHEN HE WAS SIX MONTHS OLD, SO HE'S A TRUE DRAGON.

SO WE APPRECIATE YOU ALL AND THANKS FOR ALL THAT YOU DO FOR OUR KIDS.

WE DON'T TELL YOU ALL THAT ENOUGH, BUT WE REALLY APPRECIATE ALL YOU DO.

THANK YOU. THANK YOU COACH [APPLAUSE].

CONGRATS GUYS. WE HAVE THE BEST CROSS COUNTRY COACH IN THE NATION NOW.

HIS SON'S THE BEST RUNNER IN THE NATION.

WE APPRECIATE THAT, MISS PANJABI.

NEXT UP ROBOTICS.

I THINK WE'RE DOING THE MUSIC, THE MUSICIANS FIRST.

IS THAT CORRECT? OUR ROBOTICS.

OH. I'M SORRY. YEAH. NO, JUST MAKING SURE.

I'M SORRY I MISSED IT.

NO PROBLEM AT ALL.

SO MY DAUGHTER WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO HAVE MR. KEN JOHNSON AS HER BAND DIRECTOR, SO THIS IS EXTRA SPECIAL FOR ME.

HE IS HERE WITH MISS JEN RANDALL, OUR CHOIR DIRECTOR, AND DAVID LOWN, OUR JAZZ BAND, AND THEY ARE GOING TO INTRODUCE OUR ALL STATE MUSICIANS [APPLAUSE].

ALL RIGHT. GOOD EVENING.

BEING NAMED A TEXAS MUSIC EDUCATORS ASSOCIATION ALL-STATE CHOIR, OR BAND MEMBER IS THE HIGHEST HONOR A TEXAS MUSIC STUDENT CAN RECEIVE.

I BELIEVE MISS [INAUDIBLE] IS HERE.

SHE PLAYS UNDER THE UNDER MY DIRECTION IN THE CARROLL WIND SYMPHONY.

THIS WAS HER FIRST TIME TO PERFORM AS A MEMBER OF A TMEA ALL STATE ORGANIZATION.

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST IS MR. DAVID ZACHARIAH.

HE'S A FLUTIST UNDER THE DIRECTION OF CHRISTINE CLEARY AND ALSO PLAYS UNDER MY DIRECTION IN THE WIND SYMPHONY.

THIS WAS HIS SECOND TIME TO PERFORM AS A MEMBER OF A TMEA ALL STATE ORGANIZATION.

AND THE CHERRY ON TOP IS IT SHOULD BE MENTIONED THAT DAVID PLACED FIRST CHAIR OUT OF ALL THE HIGH SCHOOL FLUTE PLAYERS ACROSS THE STATE OF TEXAS [APPLAUSE].

JUST A PIGGYBACK. COACH LEONARD, WE WANT TO THANK YOU FOR ALL OF YOUR INCREDIBLE SUPPORT OF THE FINE ARTS.

AND LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, YOUR FIVE TEXAS TMEA ALL-STATE MUSICIANS [APPLAUSE].

CONGRATULATIONS AND THANK YOU, MR. JOHNSON. RIGHT NOW.

NOW ROBOTICS. RIGHT.

OKAY. ALL RIGHT.

I CAN JUST STICK AROUND FOR THE REST OF THE NIGHT IF YOU WANT AND RUN IT FOR YOU.

AND WE'LL SPEAK MORE ABOUT MISS SCHWEDLER IN A LITTLE BIT.

[00:25:03]

BUT OUR OUTSTANDING ROBOTICS TEAM IS WHO SHE'S GOING TO INTRODUCE RIGHT NOW.

GOOD EVENING. THANK YOU FOR HAVING US HERE TONIGHT.

SO WE HAVE TWO OF OUR ROBOTICS TEAMS HERE.

WE HAVE TEAM 7110A, AND I WILL INTRODUCE THEM IN JUST A MOMENT.

AND 7 OR 7110H AND 7110A.

SO THESE ARE TWO OF OUR SEVEN ROBOTICS TEAMS THAT WE HAVE COMPETING THIS YEAR.

AND WE'RE JUST FINISHING UP OUR COMPETITION SEASON.

AND ON FEBRUARY 8TH, OUR TEAMS TRAVELED TO HOUSTON TO COMPETE IN THE 6A UIL STATE TOURNAMENT, WHICH OUR 7110 A TEAM TOOK FIRST PLACE AND OUR H SORRY, 7110H TOOK FIRST PLACE AND 7110A TOOK THIRD PLACE AT THAT EVENT.

SO IT'S PRETTY EXCITING.

THIS IS THE FOURTH YEAR THAT THERE'S BEEN A UIL PROGRAM FOR VEX ROBOTICS, AND OUR TEAMS HAVE COME OUT ON TOP EVERY YEAR.

SO WE'RE REALLY EXCITED ABOUT THE TRADITION THAT THEY ARE CREATING HERE IN ROBOTICS.

SO LET ME JUST INTRODUCE [APPLAUSE].

I DON'T NEED TO LOOK AT THIS 7110H.

WE HAVE ANDREW BOULSON, [INAUIDBLE], ALEXANDER CHARLTON, ARJUN NAYANA, ARJUN RAI AND THAT'S.

SO THESE ARE OUR CHAMPIONS, UIL STATE CHAMPIONS.

[APPLAUSE] AND OUR THIRD PLACE TEAM, WE HAVE JOSHUA LANDGRAF, SPANDAN PATEL, ASHWIN IYER, RYAN BROWN, BAILEY KOH, SARIM SYED AND CHRIS DELILA [APPLAUSE].

BUT WE ALSO WANT TO THANK THE ADMINISTRATION AND THE SCHOOL BOARD AND EVERYBODY FOR YOUR SUPPORT IN ROBOTICS.

AND ALL OF OUR PARENTS WE HAVE WE HAVE GREAT SUPPORT THIS YEAR IN ROBOTICS, AND WE COULD NOT DO THAT WITHOUT YOU.

SO THANK YOU SO MUCH [APPLAUSE].

ALL RIGHT. THANK YOU. CONGRATULATIONS, STUDENTS.

ARE WE STANDING BEHIND THE DAIS FOR PICTURES OR WHAT ARE WE DOING?

[00:32:46]

ALL RIGHT. CONGRATULATIONS, EVERYONE.

WE'LL DO THE NEXT THREE THE SAME WAY.

WE'LL INTRODUCE THEM, AND THEN WE'LL ALL GO DOWN AT THE END FOR PICTURES.

OUR FIRST UP IS OUR BOARD RECOGNITION FOR INSPIRE EXCELLENCE TEACHERS.

BUT BEFORE WE RECOGNIZE OUR TEACHERS, I JUST WANT TO SAY THAT WE'RE SUPER, SUPER THANKFUL THAT WE NOW HAVE A SPONSOR.

GREAT PLAINS BANK IS NOW CONTRIBUTING $150 TO EACH OF OUR INSPIRE EXCELLENCE STAFF MEMBERS EACH MONTH OF THE SCHOOL YEAR.

DO WE HAVE A REPRESENTATIVE FROM GREAT PLAINS BANK HERE TODAY? OKAY, SO LET'S GIVE THEM A ROUND OF APPLAUSE FOR STEPPING UP [APPLAUSE].

THANK YOU VERY MUCH. ALL RIGHT, MISS WAGNER, AND I THINK YOU'RE UP FIRST.

THERE YOU ARE. OKAY.

GOOD EVENING, DR. LEDBETTER, MR. BRYAN AND SCHOOL BOARD.

WHAT A GREAT NIGHT. AND WHAT A PRIVILEGE IT IS FOR ME TO BE ABLE TO INTRODUCE THIS TEACHER WHO HAS INSPIRED EXCELLENCE FOR YEARS.

AND WE'RE SO PRIVILEGED TO HAVE MISS LUANN MOFFETT AS OUR TEACHER OF EXCELLENCE THIS MONTH.

LUANN, WILL YOU PLEASE JOIN ME [APPLAUSE]? SO LET ME TELL YOU JUST A LITTLE BIT ABOUT MISS LUANNE.

SHE HAS BEEN ON OUR STAFF SINCE 2012, AND PRIOR TO THAT EXPERIENCE, SHE WORKED AT A LOCAL PRESCHOOL.

SHE ACTUALLY HAD MY CHILDREN AND WAS ABLE TO SERVE IN THAT LEADERSHIP POSITION.

SO I'VE KNOWN LUANNE EVEN BEFORE SHE CAME TO CARROLL ELEMENTARY.

SHE WAS ACTUALLY NOMINATED BY ONE OF OUR PARENTS, A COUPLE OF OUR PARENTS.

AND THIS IS WHAT THEY SAID.

SHE LOVES HER STUDENTS, AND IT SHOWS.

SHE LOVES TEACHING AND IT SHOWS SHE ALWAYS GOES OVER AND ABOVE.

AND SHE IS A GREAT MODEL ROLE MODEL FOR HER STUDENTS AND THEIR PARENTS.

I ACTUALLY HAD A PARENT SAY THAT SHE KEEPS THEM IN LINE AS WELL.

SO HER POSITIVITY AND KINDNESS SHINES THROUGH HER EVERY DAY.

AND I JUST WOULD LIKE TO ADD THAT LUANNE IS ALWAYS WILLING TO DO WHATEVER IS NEEDED, AND IS ONE OF THE FIRST ONES TO VOLUNTEER FOR EXTRA DUTIES, NOT ASSIGNED.

SHE ATTENDS AND VOLUNTEERS MOST OF OUR SCHOOL EVENTS, AND MOST DAYS SHE'S THE FIRST ONE IN THE SCHOOL AND THE LAST ONE TO LEAVE.

[00:35:05]

LUANNE IS AN EXCELLENT COMMUNICATOR AND WE HAVE NEVER RECEIVED A PARENT CRITIQUE OR COMPLAINT.

SHE IS HIGHLY REQUESTED BY INCOMING KINDERGARTEN PARENTS.

SHE TAKES OUR KINDER DRAGONS AND ENSURES THAT THEY ARE READY FOR FIRST GRADE.

AND A FUN FACT ABOUT MISS LUANNE MOFFETT IS SHE IS A FORMER DALLAS COWBOY CHEERLEADER [APPLAUSE].

ALL RIGHT, GO, COWBOYS! CONGRATULATIONS, MISS MOFFETT.

OKAY, MISS PANJABI, YOU'RE UP AGAIN.

YOU ARE STAYING THE WHOLE MEETING, AREN'T YOU? THERE YOU ARE. I AM HONORED TO INTRODUCE THE INSPIRE EXCELLENCE NOMINEE, MISS LEAH SCHWEDLER, OUR ROBOTICS TEACHER AT CARROLL HIGH SCHOOL AND A HUGE ASSET TO OUR STEM PROGRAM [APPLAUSE]. MISS SCHWEDLER HAS BEEN PART OF THE ROBOTICS PROGRAM FOR TEN YEARS, AND SHE SAYS THAT IT'S HER JOB TO GIVE THE KIDS THE TOOLS THEY NEED AND THEN WATCH THEM GROW.

WELL, I'VE ONLY BEEN AT CARROLL EIGHT MONTHS, BUT I'VE HAD THE PLEASURE OF OBSERVING HER CLASS A COUPLE OF TIMES, AND I CAN TELL YOU THAT IT BASICALLY RUNS ITSELF.

SHE HAS SET UP AN ATMOSPHERE OF STUDENT CENTERED LEARNING, WHICH WE ALL KNOW IS THE MARK OF A VERY DISTINGUISHED TEACHER.

PARENTS NOTE THAT MISS SCHWEDLER INSPIRES HER STUDENTS TO DO THE BEST THAT THEY CAN AND LEADS BY EXAMPLE.

SHE'S COMMITTED AND DEDICATED, ALWAYS MAKING HERSELF AVAILABLE FOR HER STUDENTS.

PARENTS SAY UNDER HER LEADERSHIP, THE ROBOTICS PROGRAM HAS GROWN FROM TWO TEAMS TO OVER TEN TEAMS. MISS SCHWEDLER'S SELFLESSNESS AND PASSION SHINE THROUGH AND INSPIRED STUDENTS TO DO THEIR BEST.

SHE DONATES HER TIME AND PROVIDES LEADERSHIP, CREATING A SAFE SPACE FOR STUDENTS TO GROW UNDER HER GUIDANCE, SHE HAS ADVOCATED FOR THE STUDENTS AND EXEMPLIFIES THE DRAGON CORE VALUES OF EXCELLENCE, RESPECTFUL, RESPECTFUL RELATIONSHIPS, INTEGRITY AND CHARACTER, CURIOSITY AND INNOVATION, HONEST COMMUNICATION AND SERVICE.

WE ARE SO VERY LUCKY TO HAVE YOU, MISS SCHWEDLER.

THANK YOU. CONGRATULATIONS [APPLAUSE]. OUR NEXT RECOGNITION IS FOR INSPIRE EXCELLENCE EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH, MISS SHETLER. GOOD EVENING, DR.

DR. LEDBETTER AND BOARD.

I AM HONORED THAT I GET TO TALK ABOUT MISS LISA KOREA.

COME ON UP, MISS LISA.

THIS IS HER FIRST YEAR AT EUBANKS [APPLAUSE], AND A PARENT NOMINATED HER AND HERE'S WHAT THE PARENT HAD TO SAY.

I AM NOMINATING LISA KOREA BECAUSE OF HER IMPRESSIVE ATTITUDE, DEDICATION TO THE SCHOOL, AND LOVE FOR HER STUDENTS.

SHE ALWAYS HAS A SMILE ON HER FACE AND GOES ABOVE AND BEYOND TO BE THERE FOR HER COWORKERS AND STUDENTS.

LISA GOES THE EXTRA MILE TO MAKE EUBANKS A HAPPY LEARNING ENVIRONMENT FOR ALL STUDENTS WHO ENTER THE DOORS.

LISA'S CHARACTER INTEGRITY SHINE DAILY.

SHE HOLDS STUDENTS ACCOUNTABLE AND HAS A GREAT RELATIONSHIP WITH THEM.

EVERY MORNING, STUDENTS COME EARLY TO SCHOOL YOU GUYS BEFORE 8:00 TO SEE HER BEFORE 8:00.

JUST TO SAY HELLO TO HER.

SHE SETS THE STUDENTS TONE FOR A FANTASTIC DAY.

SHE GIVES HUGS, HIGH FIVES, ALL THE THINGS I HAVE FIRSTHAND SEEN STUDENTS SEE LISA DOWN THE HALLWAY, LIKE ALL THE WAY DOWN THE HALLWAY, AND THEY WILL START SCREAMING, MISS LISA WAVING THEIR HANDS, RUNNING, PUSHING ME OVER, RUNNING TO HER TO GIVE HER HUGS.

THAT JUST SHOWS YOU THAT THEY TRULY LOVE HER.

AND THE BEST PART OF IT IS THAT SHE CARES JUST AS MUCH ABOUT THEM.

LISA HAS A HEART OF GOLD AND I AM GLAD SHE IS PART OF THE EUBANKS FAMILY.

IT IS AN HONOR TO RECOGNIZE THIS INSPIRE EXCELLENCE EMPLOYEE MISS LISA KOREA [APPLAUSE].

CONGRATULATIONS. ALL RIGHT, LAST UP FOR OUR RECOGNITIONS.

THE DRAGON'S SUPER SUBSTITUTE OF THE MONTH.

MISS BLACKWELL.

I'M SO EXCITED TO RECOGNIZE OUR DRAGON SUPER SUBSTITUTE OF THE MONTH, MISS GRACE DODSON [APPLAUSE].

GRACE DOBSON IS A DEDICATED SUBSTITUTE TEACHER AT ROCKENBAUGH ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, WHERE SHE HAS BEEN PROVIDING HER VALUABLE SERVICES SINCE 2005.

SHE IS A PARENT OF FOUR FORMER DRAGONS, AND HAS CONSISTENTLY DEMONSTRATED HER COMMITMENT TO SERVING THE EDUCATIONAL NEEDS OF ALL THE STUDENTS FOR THE PAST 19 YEARS. GRACE IS ALSO WILLING TO ASSIST WHENEVER NEEDED, AND CAN BE RELIED UPON TO STEP IN AND COVER CLASS OR LUNCH DUTY.

THANK YOU FOR COVERING MY DUTY DURING ANY TIME WITHOUT ANY HESITATION.

FEEDBACK FROM TEACHERS HIGHLIGHTS GRACE AND VALUABLE CONTRIBUTIONS TO OUR CAMPUS.

[00:40:03]

THEY DESCRIBE HER AS A RELIABLE PRESENCE WHO BRINGS A SENSE OF COMFORT WHEN SHE OR ANYONE ELSE IS AROUND.

SHE MAKES THEM FEEL LIKE THEY CAN LEAVE THEIR CLASSROOM AND NOT WORRY ABOUT IT.

SHE THEY KNOW THAT SHE'S GOT IT UNDER CONTROL.

GRACE IS HIGHLY PRAISED FOR HER EXCEPTIONAL CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT SKILLS AND WILLINGNESS TO ALWAYS LEND A HELPING HAND.

HER COMMITMENT TO THE STUDENTS IS DEMONSTRATED THROUGH HER PROACTIVE APPROACH TO BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS BY LEARNING THEIR NAMES AND MAINTAINING COMMUNICATION, EVEN WHEN SHE IS NOT CURRENTLY SERVING AS THE SUBSTITUTE TEACHER.

WE ARE TRULY GRATEFUL FOR GRACE DOBSON AND CONSIDER HER A VERY, VERY VITAL PART OF THE ROCKENBAUGH SCHOOL FAMILY.

SHE'S NOT A SUB, SHE'S PART OF US.

CONGRATULATIONS [APPLAUSE].

MIC] ALL RIGHT. AGAIN CONGRATULATIONS EVERYONE.

ABSOLUTELY OUR FAVORITE PORTION OF OUR REGULAR MEETINGS EACH MONTH RECOGNIZING SUCH TALENT.

SO THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

OUR NEXT AGENDA ITEM IS PUBLIC COMMENTS.

[5. PUBLIC COMMENTS]

THERE IS ONE SPEAKER TONIGHT SO WE WILL GIVE HIM THREE MINUTES.

MISS YELTON, WILL YOU PLEASE CALL OUT OUR ONLY SPEAKER OF THE NIGHT, PLEASE? OUR SPEAKER THIS EVENING IS MR. ROB FORREST.

WHAT A PRIVILEGE. I'M THE ONE AND ONLY.

THIS IS AWESOME. THAT'S RIGHT.

HEY! OKAY, I WILL BEGIN.

SUPERINTENDENT LEDBETTER, MEMBERS OF THE BOARD.

THANKS FOR ALLOWING ME THE THREE MINUTES TONIGHT.

I WANTED TO TAKE ANOTHER MOMENT TO RECOGNIZE MISS SCHWEDLER AND THE ROBOTICS PROGRAM.

AND IT'S AWESOME TO SEE THE ACHIEVEMENTS THAT THEY'VE HAD THIS YEAR FIRST IN STATE, THIRD IN STATE.

[00:45:05]

AND THERE'S ANOTHER GROUP THAT'S GOING TO THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP VEX FINALS.

THIS. WHEN IS THAT? IN APRIL TO BE DETERMINED.

ANYWAY, THERE'S ANOTHER TEAM, TEAMS THAT ARE GOING TO THE WORLD FINALS.

SO IT'S IT'S INCREDIBLE THE WORK THAT SHE'S DOING WITH THE KIDS AND WHAT I WANTED TO ASK OF THE BOARD IS THE CHALLENGES THAT SHE'S FACED IN TERMS OF FUNDING.

HAVE MAYBE GONE A LITTLE BIT UNNOTICED, BUT THEY'VE BEEN DOING WHAT THEY'VE BEEN DOING AT SUCH A HIGH LEVEL WITH A SHOESTRING BUDGET AND BASICALLY NO FUNDING. AND SO WHEN IT COMES TO EVEN REPLACEMENT PARTS FOR THE KITS THAT THESE KIDS USE TO COMPETE, WE DON'T EVEN HAVE ENOUGH OF THOSE TO REPLENISH A S THEY GET BEAT UP IN THE COMPETITIONS, MUCH LESS PURCHASING NEW ROBOTS AND ALLOWING MORE TEAMS TO PARTICIPATE IN THESE EVENTS.

SO THE THE BUDGET CONSTRAINTS HAVE BEEN EXTREME IMPACTING THIS GROUP.

AND IT'S IT'S INCREDIBLE AND A TESTAMENT TO MISS SCHWEDLER WHAT THEY'VE BEEN ABLE TO ACCOMPLISH IN SPITE OF THESE CHALLENGES.

AND YOU KNOW, I'M NOT ON THE BOARD.

I'M NOT IN A POSITION TO ALLOCATE ANY FUNDING.

BUT I WOULD LIKE TO MAKE YOU ALL AWARE OF AND BRING ATTENTION TO THE CHALLENGE AROUND FUNDING AND IDEALLY GET THIS TEAM AND GET THIS PROGRAM IN A POSITION TO BE ABLE TO CONTINUE FOR THE NEXT YEAR, THE NEXT TEN YEARS AND BEYOND.

BECAUSE AS IT'S AS IT SITS TODAY YOU KNOW, FRANKLY, AS AS A MEMBER OF A PARENT WHO'S ON THE TEAM.

MY SON'S A SOPHOMORE, AND I DON'T KNOW THAT THE TEAM IS GOING TO BE ABLE TO CONTINUE IF THE FUNDING SOMEHOW DOESN'T CHANGE.

AND I KNOW THAT'S OUR RESPONSIBILITY AS PARENTS TO CONTRIBUTE AS WE DO.

BUT I THINK SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE AT THE BOARD LEVEL TO IDEALLY STUDY IT A LITTLE BIT FURTHER AND AND ALLOCATE THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF FUNDING TO THE PROGRAM.

SO I WON'T EVEN TAKE THE THREE MINUTES.

BUT I WILL ASK THAT YOU ALL THINK OF A WAY TO DIG A LITTLE DEEPER INTO THAT, AND FIGURE OUT A WAY TO ALLOCATE THE PROPER FUNDING TO THE PROGRAM.

I KNOW I'D APPRECIATE, I KNOW MISS SCHWEDLER, AND ESPECIALLY THE KIDS WOULD REALLY BENEFIT FROM THE PROPER AMOUNT OF FUNDING.

SO THANK YOU.

ABSOLUTELY. THANK YOU, SIR, FOR BRINGING THAT TO OUR ATTENTION.

DR. LEDBETTER CAN TAKE AN IOU ON THAT TO REPORT BACK TO US ON THE FUNDING FOR THE ROBOTICS PROGRAM.

I MOVE THAT THE BOARD ISSUE A FINDING IN ACCORDANCE WITH TEXAS EDUCATION CODE SECTION 21.210C2 AND 19, TEXAS ADMINISTRATIVE CODE 249.14 J.

ALL IN FAVOR? MOTION CARRIES 6 TO 0.

THANK YOU, TRUSTEE YEAGER AND DR.

LEDBETTER. WE DON'T HAVE ANY OTHER ACTION TO TAKE FROM EXECUTIVE SESSION, SO WE'LL MOVE RIGHT ON TO ITEM NUMBER 7.

[7. ADMINISTER OATH OF OFFICE]

ADMINISTER THE OATH OF OFFICE 7.1.

ADMINISTER OATH OF OFFICE TO BOARD TRUSTEE PLACE FIVE.

MISS BOTTOM, WILL YOU PLEASE TAKE THE PODIUM? MISS SHELTON, ARE YOU GOING TO ADMINISTER THE OATH OF OFFICE? OKAY. I, RENEE BOTTOM, DO SOLEMNLY SWEAR.

DO SOLEMNLY SWEAR.

FAITHFULLY EXECUTE THAT, I WILL FAITHFULLY EXECUTE THE DUTIES OF THE OFFICE OF SCHOOL BOARD TRUSTEE.

THE DUTIES OF THE OFFICE OF SCHOOL BOARD TRUSTEE.

FOR THE CARROLL INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT OF THE STATE OF TEXAS AND WILL TO THE BEST OF MY.

AND WILL TO THE BEST OF MY ABILITY, PRESERVE, PROTECT AND DEFEND.

PRESERVE, PROTECT AND DEFEND THE CONSTITUTION.

THE CONSTITUTION AND LAWS OF THE UNITED STATES AND OF THIS STATE.

SO HELP ME GOD.

[APPLAUSE] ALL RIGHT.

TRUSTEE BOTTOM WILL YOU PLEASE TAKE YOUR SEAT AT THE DAIS? THAT'S RIGHT.

[00:55:02]

NO GOING BACK.

SO I DON'T KNOW WHILE TRUSTEE BOTTOM IS COMING UP TO TAKE HER SEAT, I DON'T KNOW IF MANY IN THE COMMUNITY REALIZE THAT FOR THE LAST THREE YEARS THAT I'VE BEEN ON THE BOARD, THERE'S BEEN ABOUT A TOTAL, FROM MY CALCULATIONS, 2 OR 3 MONTHS ONLY THAT WE'VE HAD SEVEN INDIVIDUALS SITTING AROUND THE DAIS.

SO THIS IS TRULY SOMETHING THAT MANY OF US HAVEN'T SEEN IN QUITE SOME TIME.

SO WE'RE SUPER HAPPY THAT WE NOW HAVE A FULL SEVEN ON OUR BOARD.

AND I JUST WANT TO CONGRATULATE TRUSTEE BOTTOM FOR YOU KNOW, HER APPOINTMENT AND THE FACT THAT SHE'S WILLING TO JUST GO AHEAD AND JUMP IN AND START SWIMMING. WE'LL HAVE ANOTHER SWEARING IN IN MAY WHEN OUR FULL THREE YEAR TERM BEGINS.

SO THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR DOING THIS.

WE APPRECIATE YOU. ALL RIGHT, LET'S MOVE RIGHT ALONG TO ITEM NUMBER 8 IS THE PRESIDENT'S REPORT.

[8. PRESIDENT'S REPORT]

TRUSTEES, DO WE HAVE ANY COMMITTEE REPORTS TONIGHT? I HAVE A FEW. OKAY.

BUT YOU WILL LOVE IT YOU WILL LOVE THIS. SO WE HAD A DISTRICT ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING ON FEBRUARY 8TH.

WE HAD THE CURRICULUM AND INSTRUCTION ACTION TEAMS ON OBJECTIVE ONE AND OBJECTIVE FOUR AND OBJECTIVE TWO ON JANUARY 23RD AND JANUARY 25TH.

AND THEN WE HAD A SPECIAL PROGRAMS COMMITTEE MEETING ON FEBRUARY 15TH.

AND THE UPDATES EACH, EACH DIRECTOR IS ACTUALLY GOING TO GIVE THE UPDATES WHEN THEY PRESENT IN JUST A LITTLE BIT.

PERFECT. THANK YOU TRUSTEE STACY.

TRUSTEE LANNEN, SIMILAR.

I HAD TWO COMMITTEE MEETINGS ON 1/25 THE SHAC MEETING MEET, I KNOW THEY'RE GOING TO HEAR A LITTLE BIT OF AN UPDATE LATER, BUT I DO WANT TO SAY IT WAS REALLY A PLEASURE HAVING SHERIFF BILL WAYBOURN THERE TO MAKE A PRESENTATION, AND IT'S REALLY EYE OPENING TO HEAR SOME OF THE THINGS THAT HE HAD TO REPORT THEY'RE TRAGIC THINGS.

BUT IT KIND OF RAISES AWARENESS TO HAVE PUBLIC OFFICIALS LIKE HIM COME AND SPEAK TO YOUR COMMITTEES AND PARTICIPATE IN THE PROCESS.

SHERIFF WAYBOURN IS GOING TO BE TALKING WITH OUR STUDENTS ON FENTANYL, RIGHT? HE IS, IN FACT, ONE OF THE BIGGEST ONE OF THE BIG THINGS THAT THE DISTRICT IS DOING AND WORKING ON IS THE ALLIANCE FOR CHILDREN TRAINING.

THAT'S A STATE REQUIREMENT, BUT IT'S ALSO YOU KNOW, GOING TO REALLY HELP TO EDUCATE OUR, OUR STUDENTS AND TEACHERS ABOUT TRAFFICKING AND HOW TO IDENTIFY IT. AND I KNOW WE'LL HEAR A LOT MORE ABOUT IT IN THE FUTURE.

THE SECOND MEETING THAT I WAS PART OF WAS ON FEBRUARY THE 1ST WE HAD THE HR POLICY COMMITTEE, AND WE WENT OVER SOME OF THE WELLNESS SURVEY RESULTS, THE IDEAS FOR HOW WE CAN BETTER SUPPORT OUR STAFF.

AND I KNOW WE'RE GOING TO HEAR MORE ABOUT THAT IN THE NEAR FUTURE.

SO. EXCELLENT.

THANK YOU TRUSTEE LANNEN, TRUSTEE YEAGER.

YEP. LAST TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 20TH WE HAD A MEETING OF THE FINANCE AND BUDGET COMMITTEE.

I'D LIKE TO THANK MR. JOHNSON. HE TOOK THE COMMITTEE MEMBERS THROUGH THE BUDGET PROCESS.

THERE ARE NEW MEMBERS.

WE WERE ABLE TO ELECT AN OFFICER OR TWO OFFICERS FOR THIS AND WENT OVER EVERYTHING FROM EXPLAINING AND DETAIL HOW THE SCHOOL IS FUNDED WHERE WE STAND ON ADA THE APPROXIMATE WEIGHTING THAT THIS SCHOOL HAS THE EXPENSES THAT ARE INCREASING AND IT WAS YOU KNOW, IT WAS A TYPE OF INFORMATION THAT OUR COMMITTEE REALLY NEEDED TO HAVE.

IT'S NOT IT'S A TOUGH PICTURE, BUT THAT WAS THAT MEETING.

AND WE WILL BE MEETING AGAIN I THINK, IN THE NEXT QUARTER.

APRIL 2ND. THANK YOU TRUSTEE YEAGER.

YES, I WAS PART OF THAT MEETING, TOO.

WELL DONE. MR. JOHNSON, I THINK THAT WE OPENED A BUNCH OF EYES FROM COMMUNITY MEMBERS THAT ARE ON THE COMMITTEE, AND IT WAS REALLY A GREAT PRESENTATION.

WE APPRECIATE THAT. WE JUST NEED TO DO THAT MORE OFTEN AND PROBABLY TO MORE PEOPLE IN THE COMMUNITY SO THEY UNDERSTAND, REALLY, OUR FINANCIAL SITUATION THAT WE FIND OURSELVES IN.

OKAY. ANY OTHER COMMITTEE REPORTS? OKAY. I WILL MENTION IT'S NOT A COMMITTEE REPORT, BUT TRUSTEE SEXTON, TRUSTEE STACY, MYSELF, DR.

LEDBETTER, ALL LAST WEEK MET AT AN EDUCATION ROUNDTABLE IN ADDISON AT CONGRESSWOMAN BETH VANDINE'S LOCAL DISTRICT OFFICES.

AND I JUST WANT TO SAY IT WAS A GREAT EXPERIENCE.

WE HAD TRUSTEES FROM ALL OVER HER DISTRICT AND SUPERINTENDENTS.

AND SHE IS REALLY, TRULY A PATRIOT AND WANTS TO UNDERSTAND FROM US WHAT ARE THE ISSUES AND WHAT CAN SHE DO FROM A FEDERAL LEVEL TO HELP OUT.

SO WE WERE VERY APPRECIATIVE OF THAT.

WE HAVE FULL I HAVE FULL CONFIDENCE THAT SHE'S GOING TO GO BACK TO WASHINGTON TO ADVOCATE ON OUR BEHALF.

SO THANK YOU, CONGRESSWOMAN WOMAN BETH VANDINE, FOR INVITING US.

ALL RIGHT. ITEM NUMBER 9, SUPERINTENDENT'S REPORT.

[9. SUPERINTENDENT'S REPORT]

DR. LEDBETTER. I'LL TURN IT OVER TO YOU.

ALL RIGHT. THANK YOU, MR. BRYAN. AND TRUSTEES WANT TO TAKE JUST A MINUTE TO HIGHLIGHT SEVERAL THINGS THAT HAPPENED THIS MONTH.

FIRST OF ALL, OUR CAMPUS TEACHERS OF THE YEAR WERE ANNOUNCED.

YOU PROBABLY SAW THAT ON SOCIAL MEDIA.

[01:00:01]

BUT WE'RE EXCITED TO CELEBRATE THESE INDIVIDUALS, AND WE WILL TAKE TIME IN MAY TO CELEBRATE THEM AGAIN AT A FORMAL FUNCTION.

AND WE WILL ACTUALLY ANNOUNCE THEIR OUR ELEMENTARY AND SECONDARY TEACHER OF THE YEAR FOR THE ENTIRE DISTRICT.

SO WE'RE EXCITED ABOUT THAT.

FEBRUARY 5TH THROUGH NINTH OF THIS MONTH WAS OUR NATIONAL SCHOOL COUNSELING WEEK.

AND I JUST WANT TO TAKE A MINUTE TO RECOGNIZE ALL OF OUR CAMPUSES, ALL OF OUR CAMPUS COUNSELORS FOR ALL THAT THEY DO FOR ALL OF OUR STUDENTS, OBVIOUSLY, THEY'RE A TREMENDOUS ASSET AND PLAY A VITAL PART IN THE LIVES OF ALL OF OUR STUDENTS.

SO I WANT TO THANK THEM PUBLICLY FOR ALL THAT THEY DO ON A REGULAR BASIS.

FEBRUARY 15TH WAS NATIONAL SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICER APPRECIATION DAY.

CERTAINLY CAN'T THANK THEM ENOUGH FOR ALL THAT THEY DO ON OUR CAMPUSES AND KEEPING OUR STAFF AND OUR STUDENTS SAFE.

A FEW ADMINISTRATIVE ITEMS. FIRST OF ALL, WE'RE HAVING A CAROLINA CITY WILL HOST A JOB FAIR ON THURSDAY, APRIL 4TH.

THAT WILL BE FROM 2:00 TO 6:00.

AND THAT WILL BE HERE AT THE ADMINISTRATION BUILDING.

WE'LL HAVE REPRESENTATIVES FROM ALL OF OUR CAMPUSES, CHILD NUTRITION, SPECIAL PROGRAMS, TRANSPORTATION, ALL OF OUR FACILITY SERVICES THERE.

SO HOPEFULLY WE CAN GENERATE SOME INTEREST.

SO IF YOU KNOW ANYONE LOOKING FOR A POSITION, PLEASE NOTIFY THEM OF THAT DATE.

ONCE AGAIN, THAT'S APRIL THE 4TH.

IF YOU SAW MY EMAIL THAT WENT OUT EARLIER THIS MONTH, I JUST WANT TO HIGHLIGHT ONE PIECE OF THAT.

AND THAT IS THE ATTENDANCE PART OF THAT.

I DON'T I'M NOT GOING TO GO INTO LARGE DETAIL TODAY, BUT JUST WANT TO HIGHLIGHT THE FACT THAT, YOU KNOW, OUR STUDENTS, IF THEY CAN BE AT SCHOOL AT 10 A.M., THAT DOES AFFECT OUR FUNDING. AND THAT'S ONE, ONE ITEM THAT PARENTS, AS I'VE HEARD AS I'VE TALKED ABOUT THIS, HAVE BECOME VERY AWARE OF.

IF WE COULD JUST INCREASE OUR ATTENDANCE PERCENTAGE BY 1%, THAT WOULD GENERATE ABOUT AN ADDITIONAL $670,000 FOR THE DISTRICT ANNUALLY.

SO THAT'S JUST A 1% INCREASE.

AND THAT MEANS YOUR STUDENTS BEING AT SCHOOL, BEING THERE AT 10 A.M.

WHEN WE TAKE ATTENDANCE, OF COURSE, IF THEY'RE SICK, WE DON'T NEED THEM THERE.

BUT ANY OTHER ABSENCE, WHETHER IT'S EXCUSED OR NOT, DOES IMPACT OUR ATTENDANCE RATE.

SO IT AFFECTS OUR FUNDING.

SO EVEN THOUGH IT MAY BE AN EXCUSED ABSENCE, IT STILL AFFECTS US FROM A FUNDING STANDPOINT.

SO IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS ABOUT THAT PLEASE TAKE A LOOK AT THAT EMAIL AGAIN THAT WENT OUT AND SHARE THAT WITH WITH ALL THAT, YOU KNOW, EVERYONE THAT YOU KNOW JUST A COUPLE OF ATHLETIC ITEMS. WANT TO CELEBRATE OUR SWIM TEAM WHO THIS PAST WEEKEND BOTH OUR DRAGON GIRLS AND OUR DRAGON BOYS SWIM TEAM FINISHED AS STATE RUNNER UPS.

AND SO I WANT TO CONGRATULATE THEM FOR A GREAT SEASON.

OUR DIVING TEAM ALSO HAD TWO DRAGON BOYS COMPETE AT THE SIX EIGHT LEVEL, AND THEY FINISHED THIRD AND SIXTH.

SO A GREAT SHOWING THIS PAST WEEKEND.

AND THEN I KIND OF SHOULD HAVE TIED THIS IN WITH WHEN I WAS TALKING ABOUT ALL THE MONTHLY CELEBRATIONS.

THIS THIS FEBRUARY IS ALSO CTE MONTH TO RAISE AWARENESS OF THE ROLE THAT CTE HAS IN READING OUR LEARNERS FOR COLLEGE AND CAREER SUCCESS.

AND SO I WANT TO TAKE JUST A MOMENT.

WE WE SAW OUR ROBOTICS TEAM TONIGHT FIRST AND THIRD IN THE STATE COMPETITION.

OUR CIVIL ENGINEERING AND ARCHITECTURE GROUPS WILL BE IN COMPETITION IN APRIL ON THEIR DESIGN BUILD COMPETITION.

WE HAVE OVER 100 STUDENTS THAT WILL BE PARTICIPATING IN THEIR FLORAL DESIGN CERTIFICATIONS THIS MONTH.

SO WE HOPE THAT THEY ALL RECEIVE THAT.

OUR COMPUTER SCIENCE STUDENTS ARE CODING AND DEBUGGING WHILE STUDYING FOR THEIR UPCOMING AP COMPUTER SCIENCE AND INDUSTRY CERTIFICATIONS.

WE HAVE AEROSPACE ENGINEERING AND ROCKET STUDENTS WHO ARE GETTING READY FOR THEIR AEROSPACE COMPETITION AND ROCKET LAUNCHES.

IN APRIL, WE HAVE OUR NEWLY ADDED CULINARY PROGRAM, WHICH WILL BE BEGIN THEIR COMPETITIONS AS WELL.

AND WELDING WILL BE ADDING INDUSTRY CERTIFICATIONS THIS YEAR.

SO WE HAVE A LOT GOING ON WITHIN OUR CTE PROGRAMS. WE WANT TO CELEBRATE THEM. AND OF COURSE, I KNOW Y'ALL ARE AWARE THAT WE'RE ADDING THE CARROLL BUSINESS ACADEMY TO THAT FOR NEXT YEAR.

SO A LOT HAPPENING WITHIN ALL OF OUR CTE PROGRAMS THAT NEED TO BE CELEBRATED AND HOPEFULLY GENERATE ALL THOSE SUCCESSES WILL GENERATE A LOT OF SUCCESS AND A LOT OF INTEREST FROM OUR STUDENTS FOR NEXT YEAR.

SO I BELIEVE THAT'S ALL I HAVE.

MR.. ALL RIGHT. THANK YOU, DR.

LEDBETTER. I REALLY APPRECIATE YOU BRINGING UP THE ADA AND THE AVERAGE DAILY ATTENDANCE.

AND I DIDN'T HEAR YOU.

CAN YOU SAY SOMETHING ABOUT THE TIME THAT STUDENTS NEED TO BE IN IN ORDER TO GET COUNTED? YES, SIR. THAT'S AT 10 A.M.

ON ALL OF OUR CAMPUSES.

OKAY. AND I APPRECIATE ALL THE PRINCIPALS AT OUR.

MRS ALSO MAKING PARENTS AWARE OF THIS.

I JUST DON'T THINK EVERYBODY OUR PARENTS DON'T KNOW.

AND WE NEED TO SPREAD THE WORD A LITTLE BIT BETTER AND COMMUNICATE A LITTLE BIT BETTER IN TERMS OF WHEN STUDENTS SHOULD BE AT SCHOOL.

OF COURSE, DR. LEDERBERG SAID.

IF IF THEY'RE SICK, PLEASE DO NOT SEND THEM TO SCHOOL.

BUT YOU KNOW, IF THEY NEED A DR.'S APPOINTMENT, PLEASE TRY TO SCHEDULE IT EARLY MORNING OR OR LATER IN THE AFTERNOON.

SO WE CAN GET COUNTED AND GET PAID BY BY.

ALL RIGHT, LET'S MOVE ON.

PRESIDENT BRYANT, ONE THING THAT I THINK WE MIGHT HAVE FORGOTTEN, I DON'T THINK THERE'S ANYTHING ON THE AGENDA LATER IS TO THANK THE BARBECUE TEAM FOR COOKING STEAKS FOR US TONIGHT. AS FAR AS I'M CONCERNED, THEY CAN COME TO EVERY BOARD MEETING THAT WE EVER HAVE.

RIGHT. AND IT WAS REALLY, REALLY GOOD FOOD.

SO THANK YOU TO THE BARBECUE TEAM.

THEY ALWAYS DO A GREAT JOB.

THANK YOU FOR MENTIONING THAT, TRUSTEE LINTON.

PROBABLY NOT NOW.

PROBABLY NOT NOW. ALL RIGHT, LET'S MOVE ON.

[10. INFORMATION]

INFORMATION SECTION OF OUR AGENDA, ITEM NUMBER TEN 10.1, SCHOOL HEALTH ADVISORY COUNCIL RECOMMENDATION REGARDING SENATE BILL NINE REQUIREMENTS, MISS PETTY.

GOOD EVENING, TRUSTEES.

THANK YOU FOR HAVING ME HERE TONIGHT.

I AM THRILLED TO BE HERE.

TRUSTEE LANDON KIND OF GAVE YOU A BRIEF OVERVIEW, BUT I WANT TO PROVIDE A LITTLE BIT OF BACKGROUND INTO SOME OF THE PROGRAMS OF.

[01:05:04]

OF WHAT? OH, LET ME PULL THAT.

CAN YOU. IT'S NOT THE LINKS NOT SHOWING UP.

SORRY. I WANTED TO GO OVER WITH YOU.

WHAT SHACK IS.

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO DON'T KNOW, SHACK IS A STATE MANDATED COMMITTEE.

IT IS MADE UP OF PARENTS, COMMUNITY MEMBERS AND STAFF MEMBERS.

AND SO THINGS THAT ARE BROUGHT UP THAT ARE RELEVANT TO THE HEALTH AND WELLNESS OF OUR STAFF AND OUR STUDENTS WILL BE BROUGHT BEFORE SHACK FOR RECOMMENDATION AND APPROVAL BEFORE IT COMES TO THE BOARD.

SO TONIGHT WE ARE BRINGING YOU A REQUIREMENT FROM.

FROM SENATE. BILL NINE.

SENATE BILL NINE IS A IS IS PART OF THE 87TH LEGISLATIVE SESSION, WHICH REQUIRES SCHOOL DISTRICTS TO OFFER CURRICULUM TO STUDENTS IN THE PREVENTION OF CHILD ABUSE, FAMILY VIOLENCE, DATING VIOLENCE, AND SEX TRAFFICKING.

WE HAVE BEEN TALKING ABOUT WORKING WITH ERIC AND MR. TRUSTEE LAND AND BROUGHT UP THE ALLIANCE FOR CHILDREN, BUT WE'VE BEEN TRYING TO FIND SOMETHING FOR OUR SECONDARY STUDENTS.

WHEN YOU ARE LOOKING AT TALKING ABOUT THESE TOPICS, THESE ARE TOPICS THAT THAT CAN BE CHALLENGING FOR OUR KIDS.

AND SO WE WANTED TO FIND JUST THE RIGHT PRESENTER FOR THIS.

AND WE ACTUALLY FOUND HIM.

WE WOULD LIKE TO RECOMMEND, ON JANUARY 25TH, SHERIFF BILL WAYMER FROM THE TARRANT COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE PRESENTED INFORMATION TO SHAQ ON THE DANGERS OF HUMAN DRUG AND SEX TRAFFICKING COMING IN FROM THE BORDER, ALONG WITH ITS IMPACT ON TARRANT COUNTY STUDENTS AND RESIDENTS.

THE SHAQ COMMITTEE LISTENED.

HE WAS SUPPOSED TO COME FOR A TEN MINUTE PRESENTATION.

HE STAYED FOR AN HOUR.

WE COULD HAVE STAYED FOR ANOTHER HOUR OR TWO.

I MEAN, HE WAS TRULY, TRULY HE WAS A GREAT PRESENTER.

SO WHAT WE WOULD LIKE TO DO IS HAVE APPROVAL.

WE WOULD LIKE TO RECOMMEND THAT HE COME AND SPEAK.

WE WOULD HAVE IT. WE'RE LOOKING AT TENTATIVELY A NIGHT IN APRIL.

WE WOULD INVITE OUR COMMUNITY, WE WOULD INVITE OUR PARENTS, AND WE WOULD ASK THAT THEY IF THEY FEEL COMFORTABLE BRINGING THEIR STUDENTS, BUT THAT WOULD BE THEIR OPTION TO DO THAT.

SO TONIGHT WE ARE BRINGING THIS FOR INFORMATION ONLY, BUT WE WOULD LIKE TO RECOMMEND THE SHERIFF COME AND SPEAK TO OUR PARENTS IN APRIL.

THANK YOU, MISS PETTY.

IS THERE A TIME FRAME WHERE WE HAVE TO TELL THE SHERIFF? BECAUSE I'M ASSUMING THAT HIS SCHEDULE IS PRETTY FULL.

SO ARE WE DOING THIS AT OUR NEXT BOARD MEETING, OR ARE WE WAIT UNTIL THE END OF MARCH AT OUR REGULAR MEETING TO TAKE THIS ACTION UP? WELL, WE WOULD LIKE TO HAVE IT SOONER RATHER THAN LATER.

YOU'RE RIGHT. I MEAN, APRIL IS THE SOONEST HE'S.

I MEAN, WE'VE KIND OF BEEN WORKING WITH HIS SCHEDULE ANYWAY, AND AND APRIL IS THE SOONEST HE WAS HE WOULD BE AVAILABLE.

ALSO, I THINK WHEN YOU LOOK AT IT FROM A COMMUNITY PERSPECTIVE, MAY GETS VERY BUSY.

SO IF THERE IS ANY WAY THAT WE COULD COULD GET THIS.

PUSH THROUGH EARLIER. THAT WOULD BE BECAUSE OUR NEXT BOARD MEETING OR OUR REGULAR BOARD MEETING IS NOT UNTIL WHAT, MARCH 20TH? THAT'S AT THE END OF MARCH.

HAVE YOU GIVEN HIM ANY DATES TO, LIKE, PENCIL IN ON HIS CALENDAR SO HE DOESN'T BOOK ANYTHING ELSE OR.

WE'VE ASKED HIM TO GIVE US DATES.

OKAY? AND HE HASN'T GOTTEN BACK TO YOU YET? HE HAS NOT. BUT. BUT HIS HIS ASSISTANT DID SAY HE SHE HAD SOME DATES IN APRIL THAT HE COULD DO.

OKAY. SO AS SOON AS SHE GIVES US A DATE, WE'RE BOOKING IT.

OKAY. THANK YOU, THANK YOU.

ALL RIGHT. ANY OTHER QUESTIONS? ALL RIGHT, MISS PETTY, I THINK YOU'RE UP NEXT.

10.2 STRATEGIC PLAN UPDATES IN YEAR THREE.

RECOMMENDATIONS. FIRST UP IS CURRICULUM AND INSTRUCTION.

ALL RIGHT. OKAY.

WE ARE VERY EXCITED TO OH, WE ARE VERY EXCITED TO SHARE OUR UPDATES WITH THE STRATEGIC OF WHAT WE'VE BEEN DOING WITH THE STRATEGIC PLAN.

AND I THINK DR. BRONNER IS GOING TO BE JOINING ME TONIGHT.

WE WILL BE HIGHLIGHTING CURRICULUM AND INSTRUCTION AS WELL AS SPECIAL PROGRAMS. SO I WILL START OUT AND THEN DR.

BRONNER WILL TAKE OVER FROM THERE.

ALL RIGHT. FIRST OF ALL, I WOULD LIKE TO GIVE A HUGE SHOUT OUT TO ALL OF OUR ACTION TEAM MEMBERS.

WOULD THEY HAVE ATTENDED NUMEROUS, NUMEROUS MEETINGS AND THEY HAVE DONE AN OUTSTANDING JOB.

THEY HAVE ACTIVELY PARTICIPATED IN ALL OF OUR MEETINGS.

AND I KNOW FROM THE CNI PERSPECTIVE, WE'VE HAD A LOT OF ITEMS ON THE AGENDA, AND THEY HAVE BEEN VERY GOOD ABOUT PROVIDING HONEST AND OPEN FEEDBACK TO US AND PROVIDING DIRECTION OF HOW WE WOULD LIKE TO GO.

SO THE NEXT SLIDE WE'VE GOT WE'VE GOT THREE, THREE COMMITTEES.

WE'VE GOT THE FIRST COMMITTEE, WHICH IS MORE ON THE VERTICAL AND HORIZONTAL ALIGNMENT.

SO YOU WILL SEE THAT THOSE THAT'S THE MEMBERS OF THOSE OF THAT COMMITTEE.

WE ALSO HAVE ONE SECTION WHICH IS THE OBJECTIVE FOUR, WHICH DEALS WITH OUR GIFTED AND TALENTED PROGRAM.

AND WE'VE GOT THREE OF THE COMMITTEE MEMBERS THAT ARE ALSO SERVING ON OBJECTIVE ONE THAT ARE SERVING ON OUR COMMITTEE.

THEN WE HAVE OBJECTIVE TWO, OBJECTIVE TWO DEALS MORE WITH OUR CAREER AND TECHNOLOGY PROGRAMS. IT DEALS WITH OUR PATHWAYS, AND WE'VE GOT ONE, ONE FOCUS THAT'S REALLY FOCUSING ON LOOKING AT OUR POSSIBLE AT OUR GPA AND SEEING WHAT DO WE NEED TO DO WITH THAT.

[01:10:08]

SO I'M GOING TO GO OVER TODAY AND HIT A FEW OF THE HIGHLIGHTS.

AS YOU CAN SEE, WHEN YOU LOOK AT THESE LISTS, THEY COME FROM THEY COME FROM ALL POSITIONS AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS AND THEY REALLY PUT IN A TON OF TIME.

I WANT TO GIVE A HUGE SHOUT OUT TO OUR PARENTS AND OUR TEACHERS THAT SHOW UP BECAUSE HE'S MOVING AND OUR TRUSTEE MEMBERS.

BUT THESE MEETINGS ARE START AT 430 AND THEY GO UNTIL 6 OR 630.

SO THAT IS A HUGE TIME COMMITMENT AND WE HAVE A MINIMUM OF FOUR MEETINGS.

SOMETIMES THERE ARE MORE, MORE.

SO I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO GIVE A HUGE SHOUT OUT TO THEM.

ALL RIGHT. HERE WE GO.

HERE FOR HERE ARE SOME OF THE KEY CELEBRATIONS FOR YEAR TWO FOR CURRICULUM AND INSTRUCTION.

AS PART OF THE STRATEGIC PLAN, A BIG FOCUS WAS ON WRITING AND ENSURING THAT WE HAD COMMON WRITING EXPECTATIONS AGAINST A WHEN YOU LOOK AT ALL CURRICULUM AREAS.

SO WE HAVE CREATED A WRITING STYLE GUIDE FOR ALL CONTENT AREAS.

IT'S VERY GENERIC, BUT IT'S ADAPTABLE.

THE TEACHERS CAN MAKE IT AS SPECIFIC OR OR GENERIC AS THEY WOULD LIKE, BUT WE HAVE CREATED THAT.

WE'VE CREATED EXPECTATIONS FOR INSTRUCTION, ASSESSMENT AND CALIBRATION OF WRITING.

THIS YEAR, WE REALLY FOCUSED ON WRITING IN OUR FOUR MAIN CONTENT AREAS.

SO WHAT TEACHERS ARE EXPECTED TO DO IS THEY WILL HAVE A TOPIC.

ALL OF THEIR STUDENTS WILL WRITE ON THAT TOPIC.

AND THEN DURING OUR I ALIGN DAYS, OUR TEACHERS WILL BRING THOSE WRITING SAMPLES WITH THEM.

AND AS A GROUP, WE WILL CALIBRATE THOSE SCORES TOGETHER SO THAT WE ENSURE CONSISTENCY IN OUR GRADING SO THAT WE KNOW EVERYONE'S GRADING ALONG THE SAME GUIDELINES THAT WE'RE WE DON'T HAVE ONE TEACHER GIVING A'S AND ANOTHER TEACHER GIVING C'S.

WE'VE CREATED A CURRICULUM MANAGEMENT PLAN THAT ALSO INCLUDES COMMON ACADEMIC VOCABULARY.

WE'VE CREATED A VERTICALLY ALIGNED CONTENT AND PROCESS SKILLS.

WE HAVE NOT HAD THAT IN THE PAST.

THAT IS, THAT HAS BEEN CRUCIAL.

IT HELPS OUR OUR TEACHERS KNOW THESE ARE THE SKILLS THAT WE NEED TO BE FOCUSING ON.

HERE'S THE CONTENT, HERE ARE THE SKILLS.

AND IT HELPS US. AS WITH OUR PACING, WE'VE EVALUATED RESOURCES AND CREATED GUIDELINES FOR PURCHASING INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS.

WE ARE WORKING WITH TECHNOLOGY ON THAT.

WE ARE WORKING ON CROSS CURRICULAR PLANNING TIME FOR TEACHERS.

DURING OUR ONLINE DAY, WE'VE CREATED AN INSTRUCTIONAL EXPECTATIONS MATRIX AND WE HAVE IMPROVED INTERVENTION PROGRAMS K THROUGH 12.

ON OBJECTIVE TWO, WE HAVE RESEARCHED THE K 12 ACADEMIC PATHWAYS.

AS YOU CAN SEE, I THINK YOU SAW A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO WHEN I CAME TALKING ABOUT THE ACADEMIC PLANNING GUIDE.

WE'VE REALLY OPENED UP OUR CAREER AND TECHNOLOGY PROGRAMS. WE ARE CONSTANTLY I THINK WE ADDED TEN NEW CTE PROGRAMS FOR THIS UPCOMING YEAR.

WE'VE CREATED A DISTRICT WIDE COMMITTEE FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF COMMUNITY COMMUNICATIONS POLICIES AND PROCEDURES FOR CREATING STUDENT CLUBS.

I THINK ONE OF THE THINGS DURING THE STRATEGIC PLAN, ONE OF THE THINGS THAT WE REALIZED IS WE HAD A LOT OF CLUBS, BUT WE DIDN'T HAVE ANY PROCESSES IN PLACE.

SO ANYBODY COULD JUST SAY, I WANT TO HAVE A CLUB.

AND THEN NOBODY KNEW EXACTLY WHAT CLUBS WERE AVAILABLE.

SO WE'VE DONE A BETTER JOB OF STREAMLINING THAT.

WE ARE LOOKING AT AT WE ARE.

WE HAVE RESEARCH GRADING POLICIES AND ANALYZED SURVEY RESULTS.

AND AND WE'VE RESEARCHED THAT.

WE'VE WE'VE COLLABORATED WITH CAMPUS ADMINISTRATION AND TEACHERS ON GRADING POLICIES, ANALYZE GRADING POLICIES, IMPACT AND GPA POLICIES.

AND SO WE ARE WORKING ON CREATING OUR FINDINGS FROM THAT REPORT, AND WE WILL BRING THAT BACK.

THAT WILL BE MOVING INTO YEAR THREE.

BUT WE CAME UP WITH A LOT OF VERY INTERESTING.

FINDINGS FROM DOING THAT.

AND THEN FINALLY, OBJECTIVE FOUR.

WE RESEARCHED APPROPRIATE AGE FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF EXECUTIVE FUNCTIONING SKILLS.

WHAT WE DISCOVERED WAS THAT THROUGH K FOUR, WE WE WE WERE PRETTY WE WE'VE GOT OUR EXECUTIVE FUNCTIONING SKILLS IMPLEMENTED INTO IT.

THEY'VE GOT THEIR PLAN OR THEY KNOW HOW TO SET GOALS.

WE'RE DOING THAT.

IT WAS WHEN THEY GET INTO THE SECONDARY LEVEL HOW ARE WE DOING THAT.

SO WE'VE WE'VE STARTED TO EMBED IN OUR CAREER INVESTIGATIONS CLASS.

THAT IS A CLASS THAT WE HAVE CHOSEN TO REALLY IMPLEMENT OUR EXECUTIVE FUNCTIONING SKILLS INTO.

AND SO WE'RE WORKING WITH OUR TEACHERS TO ENSURE ONE YOU'LL SEE ON ON YEAR THREE, WE'RE GOING TO HAVE TO NARROW IT DOWN A LITTLE BIT.

BUT THIS WAS OUR FIRST YEAR TO TRY TO START IMPLEMENTING THOSE PROGRAMS. AND THEN WE'VE WORKED WITH TEACHERS TO INCORPORATE EXECUTIVE FUNCTIONING SKILLS INTO THAT CURRICULUM.

SO WHAT CAN YOU GIVE BACK? YES. TO.

THE PREVIOUS SLIDE. OKAY.

YES. SO OBJECTIVE ONE, I MEAN, I THINK IT'S AWESOME THAT YOU GUYS ARE MOVING FORWARD WITH THE HORIZONTAL AND VERTICAL ALIGNMENT OF OUR CURRICULUM.

I CAN IMAGINE HOW DIFFICULT THAT IS TO GET THAT IMPLEMENTED.

[01:15:04]

SO MY QUESTION IS HOW DO WE DO THAT? I MEAN IT'S IT'S GREAT TO TALK ABOUT IT'S GREAT TO WORK WITH TEACHERS THAT SAY AN AI ALIGNED DAY.

BUT HOW ARE WE OR HOW IS YOUR DEPARTMENT OVERSEEING THAT THAT IS ACTUALLY GETTING DONE? DO WE HAVE ANYBODY FROM YOUR DEPARTMENT ON OUR CAMPUSES THAT ARE ACTUALLY AUTHORIZED TO VIEW CLASSROOMS AND WHAT TEACHERS ARE TEACHING AND MAKING SURE THAT THEY ARE TEACHING TO THE CURRICULUM THAT WE AGREED TO IS HOW HOW DOES THAT WORK? OR IS THAT JUST THE PRINCIPAL'S RESPONSIBILITY, OR CAN YOU SPEAK TO THAT, PLEASE? I CAN THANK YOU FOR ASKING.

VERTICAL AND HORIZONTAL ALIGNMENT ARE ARE EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO TO ENSURE THAT IT'S BEING DONE.

WE DO HAVE A VERTICAL AND HORIZONTAL ALIGNMENT TEAM.

SO WHAT THEY WILL DO IS, IS THEY HAVE BEEN THEY THEY WILL MEET IN THE SUMMER AND THEY WILL ENSURE YOU HAVE TEAM MEMBERS FROM EACH GRADE LEVEL THAT WILL FEED UP TO THE NEXT ONE TO ENSURE THAT THE SKILLS ARE BEING TAUGHT.

AND WE DON'T DUPLICATE UNNECESSARY SKILLS NOW.

SO ONCE WE DO THAT IN THE SUMMER, IT'S THE IT'S THE IMPLEMENTING OF IT DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR THAT CAN BE A LITTLE CHALLENGING.

WE HAVE HAD AI ALIGNED DAYS AND DURING THE AI ALIGN DAYS, THOSE ARE PERFECT DAYS FOR OUR STAFF TO GET TOGETHER TO ENSURE THAT THEY ARE VERTICALLY AND HORIZONTALLY ALIGNING THE FIRST PART OF THE MORNING, OUR TEACHERS WORK TOGETHER VERTICALLY TO ENSURE THAT THEY KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON, WHAT WHAT'S GRADE FIVE DOING? WHAT'S GRADE SIX DOING? WHAT'S GRADE SEVEN DOING IN THE AFTERNOON? THEY SHOULD BE GOING BACK TO THEIR CAMPUSES AND HORIZONTALLY ALIGNING.

SO WHAT IS THE ACCOUNTABILITY FOR THAT.

SO IT'S GREAT THAT WE ALL MEET.

IT'S GREAT THAT WE ALL SIT IN PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND WE LISTEN.

BUT HOW DO WE KNOW THAT THIS IS ACTUALLY HAPPENING ON THE CAMPUSES IN THE OUR OUR COORDINATORS ARE GOING OUT.

THEY ARE SITTING IN TO SITTING IN THE PLC, THE PROFESSIONAL LEARNING COMMUNITIES.

THEY ARE GETTING INTO THOSE CLASSROOMS. THEY ARE OBSERVING THOSE TEACHERS.

IT'S JUST.

IT CAN BE A CHALLENGE TO GET INTO ALL OF THOSE TEACHERS CLASSROOMS. SO WE ARE WORKING WITH OUR PRINCIPALS IN ORDER TO GET INTO THOSE CLASSROOMS AND SEE WHAT'S GOING ON AND MAKE SURE THAT WE ARE TALKING ABOUT THEM, BUT THAT IS OUR GOAL.

I MEAN, WE HAVE TALKED DURING OUR COORDINATOR MEETINGS.

WE DO TALK REGULARLY ABOUT, ALL RIGHT, WE'VE GOT TO GET OUT ON THOSE CAMPUSES AND SEE WHAT'S GOING ON.

SEEMS LIKE THAT.

AND WE'VE TALKED TO DR. LEDBETTER ABOUT THIS, THAT IT SEEMS LIKE TO ME WE'RE A LITTLE SHORT STAFFED BECAUSE WE ONLY HAVE, WHAT, THREE, FOUR COORDINATORS? WE HAVE FOUR. WE HAVE FOUR COORDINATORS.

THERE'S NO POSSIBLE WAY THAT THEY COULD DO WHAT THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO BE DOING IN TERMS OF THEIR JOB AND THEIR ROLE, AND ALSO BE HANDS ON ON ALL THE CAMPUSES.

AND I KNOW THAT WE HAD TALKED ABOUT AT SOME POINT AND EVEN RECENTLY OF HAVING AN INSTRUCTIONAL TYPE COACH OR INSTRUCTIONAL TYPE, WHATEVER YOU CALL THEM ON EACH CAMPUS, AND THEIR SOLE ROLE WOULD BE TO MAKE SURE THAT, YOU KNOW, THEY'RE OBSERVING CLASSROOMS ON EACH CAMPUS EVERY SINGLE DAY.

AND THAT'S WHAT THEY DID.

AND THEN THEY WOULD REPORT BACK TO THEIR COORDINATOR, SUBJECT MATTER PERSON, OR WHOMEVER, THEN WOULD REPORT TO YOU.

SO I'M JUST WONDERING IF THAT IS SOMETHING THAT YOU THINK WOULD BE HELPFUL TO YOUR DEPARTMENT.

THAT WOULD BE AMAZING.

OKAY, I AND I UNDERSTAND OTHER ISDS HAVE SOMETHING.

SO I THINK, DR. LEDBETTER, YOU TOLD US THAT OTHER CAMPUS OR OTHER SORRY ISDS AROUND NORTH TEXAS AND WHEREVER YOU'VE WORKED IN THE PAST HAVE HAD THAT AND IT'S BEEN EFFECTIVE. I JUST DON'T SEE HOW WE CAN RELY ON OUR COORDINATORS RIGHT NOW TO DO THE JOB THAT WE'RE TELLING THEM TO DO, AND DO THIS ROLE AS WELL.

IT JUST DOESN'T SEEM TO WORK. AND THEN YOU CAN'T REALLY PUT IT ON THE PRINCIPALS, RIGHT? BECAUSE THE PRINCIPALS AREN'T ALIGNED WITH THIS TYPE OF CURRICULUM AND THEY'VE GOT THEIR THEIR OWN JOB TO DO.

SO IT SEEMS LIKE TO ME, IF WE'RE WE'RE PLACING THIS ON THE ACTION PLAN AND STRATEGIC PLAN, WE'RE PLACING THIS AS A TOP PRIORITY.

WE NEED TO FIGURE OUT WHAT TO DO IN TERMS OF GETTING YOUR DEPARTMENT, THE RESOURCES THAT THEY NEED TO ACTUALLY ADEQUATELY IMPLEMENT THIS VERTICAL AND HORIZONTAL ALIGNMENT THAT IS SO INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT TO OUR DISTRICT CONTINUING TO IMPROVE.

THANK YOU. THANK YOU FOR RECOGNIZING THAT.

I TRULY APPRECIATE THAT BECAUSE YOU ARE RIGHT.

WE DO HAVE FOUR COORDINATORS AND THEY EACH HAVE TWO CONTENT AREAS THAT THEY ARE OVERSEEING.

SO. WE HAVE A LOT OF RESPONSIBILITIES, JUST THAT WE HAVE TO TAKE CARE OF IN GENERAL.

BUT TRYING TO GET OUT ON THOSE CAMPUSES AND TO GET INTO THERE, INTO THE PLCS, TO WHERE YOU'RE LISTENING ABOUT HOW THE STUDENTS ARE PERFORMING THERE DATA WISE, AND SEEING THE INSTRUCTION THAT'S ACTUALLY GOING ON IN THOSE CLASSROOMS. IT'S EXTREMELY CHALLENGING.

I MEAN, OUR GOAL IS TO GET TO EVERY AND OUR GOAL IS TO GET TO EVERY TEACHER'S CLASSROOM, HOPEFULLY ONCE IN THE SEMESTER THAT WE JUST WE JUST WE CAN'T I MEAN, THERE'S JUST THE MANPOWER IS NOT THERE.

[01:20:01]

RIGHT. AND YOU ARE RIGHT.

WHEN YOU LOOK AT OTHER DISTRICTS AROUND US, THEY'VE GOT INSTRUCTIONAL COACHES, THEY'VE GOT FACILITATORS, THEY'VE GOT OTHER POSITIONS THAT HELP FEED INTO THAT. AND.

YEAH, AND MY PEOPLE NEED THAT.

ALL RIGHT. THAT'S WHAT I NEED. THANK YOU.

OKAY. THANK YOU. ALL RIGHT.

SO YEAR THREE WE ARE GOING TO WE WE ARE CONTINUING TO LOOK AT HOW WE CAN IMPLEMENT SOME ADDITIONAL CROSS CURRICULAR OPPORTUNITIES. WE HAVE LOOKED AT SOME DISTRICTS IN THE AREA AND THEY HAVE CREATED A LIKE WE HAVE OUR HUMANITIES PROGRAM, WHICH INCLUDES OUR ENGLISH LANGUAGE ARTS PROGRAM WITH OUR SOCIAL STUDIES PROGRAM.

THEY HAVE INCLUDED A STEM PROGRAM, WHICH INCLUDES THEIR MATH AND THEIR SCIENCE PROGRAMS. SO WE'RE GOING TO BE LOOKING A LITTLE BIT DEEPER INTO THAT.

HOW CAN WE INCORPORATE THESE THESE TWO DIFFERENT CONTENT AREAS AND MAKE IT RELEVANT FOR OUR STUDENTS? OBJECTIVE TWO THERE WAS QUITE A BIT OF DISCUSSION ABOUT TWO PARTICULAR PROGRAMS DURING THE STRATEGIC PLANNING THAT WERE OF, OF.

RELEVANCE TO THE COMMUNITY AS A WHOLE.

ONE WAS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE PROGRAM AND THE OTHER WAS A WAS AN ORCHESTRA PROGRAM.

WE HAVE MET WITH PEOPLE THAT ARE WE HAVE MET WITH COMPANIES THAT WORK WITH BOTH OF THESE.

WE HAVE MET WITH THE ROJAS, WHICH IS AN ORCHESTRA PROGRAM WHICH IS IN GRAPEVINE.

IT SERVES A LOT OF THE COMMUNITIES AROUND US, AND WE HAVE MET WITH A LANGUAGE IMMERSION PROGRAM.

WE COULD, IF WE SO CHOSE, WE COULD IMPLEMENT A TUITION BASED AFTER SCHOOL LANGUAGE PROGRAM FOR GRADES K THROUGH SEVEN. IT WOULD WHAT WE WOULD BE SUGGESTING OR WHAT WE ARE LOOKING AT IS POSSIBLY ON MONDAY.

WEDNESDAY WE WOULD HAVE OUR FOREIGN LANGUAGE COMPONENT.

AND THEN ON TUESDAY, THURSDAY WE WOULD HAVE OUR ORCHESTRA PROGRAM AND PARENTS WOULD PAY A TUITION, BUT WE WOULD HAVE THESE OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE TO OUR STUDENTS.

IT WOULD BE AS SOON AS SCHOOL RELEASED, THE STUDENTS WOULD STAY, AND THEN THE PROGRAMS WOULD COME IN AND SERVE OUR OUR STUDENTS.

BUT THAT IS ONE OF THE PROGRAM.

ONE OF THE THINGS THAT WE ARE LOOKING AT STRONGLY TO SEE, WE ARE STARTING TO WORK WITH OUR PRINCIPALS NOW TO SEE WHAT KIND OF, YOU KNOW, WOULD YOU BE ABLE TO DO THAT? AND THEN FROM THAT POINT, MEETING WITH THOSE GROUPS TO SEE HOW COULD WE BAND OUR STUDENTS TOGETHER, WHAT GRADE BANDS WOULD YOU WANT TO HAVE IN ORDER TO IMPLEMENT THOSE PROGRAMS IF WE DECIDED TO MOVE FORWARD? A QUICK QUESTION ON THAT. BEFORE YOU MOVE ON DO WE HAVE TO DO IT AFTER SCHOOL IN ORDER TO CHARGE TUITION? COULD. COULD WE FIND TIME WITHIN THE SCHOOL DAY? I MEAN, I GUESS MY QUESTION IS WHY AFTER SCHOOL WE JUST DON'T HAVE ANY TIME DURING THE DAY.

WE DON'T HAVE ANY TIME. YEAH, OKAY.

AND THEN DETERMINE IF CHANGES IN THE GRADING POLICY.

THAT GOES BACK TO WHAT WE WERE TALKING ABOUT A LITTLE BIT A LITTLE BIT AGO.

WE WILL CONTINUE TO WORK ON THAT WITH THE GPA AND THAT WE WILL BE COLLABORATING WITH DISTRICT ADMINISTRATION TO LAUNCH SOME NEW STUDENT CLUBS.

WE HAVE ALREADY TALKED.

RYAN WILSON IS ON OUR COMMITTEE, SO WE HAVE BEEN WORKING WITH HIM AND CHRISTINA BENNYHOFF IN ORDER TO SEE, OKAY, WHAT DO WE NEED TO DO IN ORDER TO GET THESE GET CLUBS THAT OUR STUDENTS WOULD BE INTERESTED IN UP AND RUNNING? AND THEN OBJECTIVE FOUR GOES BACK TO CREATING A GRADING MATRIX.

WE'VE GOT THE EXECUTIVE FUNCTIONING SKILLS IN THE CURRICULUM.

WE HAVE NOT CREATED A GRADING MATRIX YET TO ENSURE THE ACCOUNTABILITY PIECE.

SO WE WILL BE WORKING ON THAT THIS SCHOOL YEAR TO SEE HOW IS HOW ARE WE PRESENTING IT.

AND THEN HOW CAN WE HOLD THE ACCOUNTABILITY PIECE THERE.

AND THEN WE ARE WORKING ON EMBEDDING PROBLEM SOLVING AND CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS INTO ALL OF OUR CORE CONTENT AREAS.

THAT'S AWESOME. I APPRECIATE YOU DOING THAT.

CAN WE GO BACK TO THE GRADING MATRIX TO ENSURE ACCOUNTABILITY FOR EXECUTIVE FUNCTIONING SKILLS? WHERE DOES THAT COME FROM? DO WE HAVE A CURRICULUM FOR THAT OR WE HAVE.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING AT IS WE'VE GOT AS AS PART OF OUR PRACTICUMS. WHAT WE ARE DOING IS WE ARE LOOKING AT THEY'RE CALLED SOFT SKILLS.

WE ARE TAKING A LOOK TO SEE WHAT DO OUR STUDENTS NEED TO KNOW TO BE ABLE TO DO WHENEVER THEY GET OUT IN THE WORLD TO BE.

A PART OF AN ORGANIZATION, A FUNCTIONING PART OF THE THE ORGANIZATION, YOUR COMMUNICATION SKILLS, YOUR RESILIENCY, THINGS THAT AREN'T TAUGHT.

THEY'RE NOT IN YOUR STATE STANDARDS.

YOU'RE NOT GOING TO SEE THEM THERE.

SO HOW DO WE ENSURE THAT THEY KNOW THESE THINGS? HOW DO THEY KNOW ABOUT GOAL PLANNING? HOW DO THEY KNOW ABOUT THESE THINGS.

SO WORK TRYING TO FIGURE OUT, OKAY, WHAT IS OUR GRADING MATRIX GOING TO LOOK LIKE IN ORDER TO HOW HOW CAN WE CHECK TO MAKE SURE THAT THEY ARE REALLY DOING THESE THINGS? THAT'S GOING TO BE CRUCIAL AS WE MOVE INTO OUR PRACTICUMS, BECAUSE WE'RE GOING TO HAVE STUDENTS OUT IN THE BUSINESS WORLD, AND WE WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT OUR STUDENTS ARE PREPARED TO GO OUT INTO THAT BUSINESS WORLD AND BE A PRODUCTIVE INDIVIDUAL AS THEY WORK WITH THESE GROUPS.

SO COULD YOU MISS PATTY? COULD YOU TAKE AN IOU?

[01:25:01]

I'D BE VERY CURIOUS.

AND I'M SURE THE TRUSTEES WOULD, TOO.

OF WHAT? THAT WHAT THAT AN EXAMPLE OF WHAT? THAT IS WHAT THAT LOOKS LIKE.

COULD YOU PROVIDE US SOMETHING LIKE THAT? I MEAN, YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO IT NOW, BUT I'M STILL A LITTLE CONFUSED ON WHAT, LIKE RESILIENCY.

I MEAN, YES, YES, I CAN I CAN SHOW YOU AN EXAMPLE OF THAT.

DO THAT. AND DO YOU MIX THAT IN WITH A DIFFERENT TYPE OF ENGINEERING COURSE OR.

I MEAN, WE, WE STARTED ONE, WE CREATED ONE FOR OUR NEW CARROLL BUSINESS ACADEMY.

OKAY. AND SO WHAT WE'RE PLANNING ON DOING IS TAKING THAT ONE AND THEN MODIFYING IT SO THAT IT WILL FIT WHICHEVER ONE OF THE PRACTICUMS OR THE CAREER INVESTIGATIONS CLASS THAT WE NEED.

I'D JUST LIKE TO SEE AN EXAMPLE OF WHAT THAT MIGHT BE.

WE CAN GET THAT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE INCLUSIVE.

I MEAN, JUST, YOU KNOW, SIMPLE.

THANK YOU. SURE.

ALL RIGHT. AND THAT IS THE END OF THE CURRICULUM AND INSTRUCTIONS PLAN.

ANY QUESTIONS? ONE LAST QUESTION. I'LL TURN IT OVER TO THE TRUSTEES.

HOW HOW CONFIDENT ARE YOU THAT WE ARE GOING TO BE ABLE TO IMPLEMENT THE HORIZONTAL AND VERTICAL ALIGNMENT THIS COMING SCHOOL YEAR? WE WE HAVE.

WELL, WE WE HAVE THE PIECES IN PLACE.

IT'S THE ACCOUNTABILITY PIECE THAT WE NEED.

AND WITH OUR CURRENT STAFF, THAT'S VERY CHALLENGING.

YEAH. OKAY.

THANK YOU. I COMMENT ON THAT? IN THE BUSINESS WORLD, SOMEONE TOLD ME MUCH WISER THAN ME.

AND THAT IS, YOU CAN'T MANAGE WHAT YOU CAN'T MEASURE.

AND I DON'T KNOW WHAT THE MEASUREMENTS ARE FOR VERTICAL AND HORIZONTAL ALIGNMENT.

I LOVE THE WORDS.

I THINK I KNOW WHAT IT MEANS FROM TALKING TO TEACHERS A LITTLE BIT AND PROBABLY FROM YOU.

SO JUST LIKE I THINK IT'S FAIR FOR A STUDENT AND THEY GET A GRADING RUBRIC, I WOULD LOVE A RUBRIC TO UNDERSTAND WHAT THE MEASUREMENTS FOR THIS ARE, SO THAT OUR EXPECTATIONS CAN BE FAIR TO YOU AND YOUR DEPARTMENT.

BECAUSE IF THIS LIKE PRESIDENT BRYAN SAID, IF THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE WITH THE CURRENT TEAM WE HAVE, WE NEED TO KNOW THIS.

I MEAN, CURRICULUM IS AT, YOU KNOW, NEXT TO FINANCE AND FUNDING.

THAT'S, THAT'S THAT'S IT RIGHT THERE.

SO IT'S A BIG ASK, BUT I THINK WE HAVE TO SEE IT SO THAT WE CAN HAVE EXPECTATIONS THAT WE ARE IN LINE.

AND OKAY, WE'VE WE'VE DEVELOPED SOME DOCUMENTS THAT.

THAT WILL HELP GUIDE PEOPLE, BUT WE NEED TO MAKE SURE THAT EVERYONE IS ON THE SAME PAGE.

IT GOES BACK TO THE CALIBRATING OF THE WRITING.

YOU'VE GOT TO MAKE SURE EVERYONE HAS THE EXACT SAME EXPECTATIONS AS EVERYONE ELSE DOES.

AND WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? WHAT DOES THAT LOOK LIKE? WE'VE MADE GREAT GAINS.

WE'VE PUT TOGETHER SOME PROCESS SKILLS DOCUMENTS.

WE PUT TOGETHER SOME SOME.

IT'S CALLED THE ANNETTE. WE CALL IT THE ANATOMY OF A CLASSROOM.

THIS IS WHAT YOUR CLASSROOM SHOULD LOOK LIKE.

YOU DO THIS FOR THE FIRST TEN MINUTES.

YOU DO THIS, YOU MODEL, YOU DO.

SO WE PUT PLACE THINGS IN PLACE SO THAT AS OUR ADMINISTRATORS ARE DOING THEIR EVALUATIONS, THEY CAN SEE ARE OUR TEACHERS FOLLOWING WHAT WE'RE PUTTING IN THE CURRICULUM.

BUT I THINK IT'S ALSO A TEACH PIECE FOR EVERYONE TO ENSURE THAT WE KNOW THIS IS WHAT'S THE WHAT'S IN THE CURRICULUM.

THESE ARE THE EXPECTATIONS FOR FOLLOWING THE CURRICULUM.

AND THEN THAT THE ACCOUNTABILITY PIECE THAT GOES ALONG WITH THAT.

THE OTHER POINT I'D JUST ADD QUICKLY, AND THAT IS THAT I DON'T SEE ACCOUNTABILITY IN THIS PRESENTATION.

OKAY. SO I THINK THAT WE HAVE TO ADDRESS THAT BECAUSE, MISS PETTY, WE WILL GIVE YOU AND YOUR TEAM THAT WE WILL EMPOWER THEM TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN.

OKAY. AND IF THAT MEANS THAT WE HAVE TO, YOU KNOW, LOOK AT THINGS IN A FRESH, NEW WAY, WE WILL.

BUT TO HAVE PEOPLE THAT AREN'T ACCOUNTABLE, WE'RE NEVER GOING TO ACHIEVE OUR GOALS.

AND THAT'S NOT AGAIN, THAT'S NOT FAIR TO YOU.

THAT'S NOT FAIR TO THE PARENTS.

AND FRANKLY, THE STUDENTS ARE THE ONES THAT END UP SUFFERING.

YES. THAT'S TRUE.

WE'RE HAPPY TO DO THAT.

ACTUALLY, WE'RE MORE THAN HAPPY TO DO THAT.

THANK YOU. THANK YOU.

ALL RIGHT, DR. BONNER. I'M GOING TO REVIEW GOAL 1.3.

AS IT RELATES TO SPECIAL PROGRAMS UNDER THE LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT.

SO I JUST WANT TO ECHO WHAT MISS PETTY SAID ABOUT THE HARD WORK THAT OUR COMMITTEE MEMBERS PUT IN.

WE ALSO MEET AT LEAST FOUR TIMES A YEAR.

SO WITHIN THE SPECIAL PROGRAMS DEPARTMENT WE HAVE DEVELOPED ESI PROCESS THAT ENSURES SUCCESSFUL TRANSITION OF STUDENTS FROM CAMPUS TO CAMPUS. THAT HAS BEEN ONE OF THE THINGS THAT I HAVE HEARD SINCE MY ARRIVAL NEEDED TO BE SHORED UP.

[01:30:01]

AND SO WE ACTUALLY JUST TRAINED TEACHERS ON THE 19TH ON THAT.

DIAGNOSTICIANS HAVE BEEN TRAINED ADMINISTRATORS HAD IT, AND WE ARE NOW HAVING ESI DISCUSSIONS IN ARD.

WE HAVE BEEN COLLABORATING WITH CURRICULUM AND INSTRUCTION TO ENSURE HORIZONTAL AND VERTICAL ALIGNMENT OF OUR PRE-K.

SO INITIALLY KIND OF PRE-K LIVES IN IN SPECIAL PROGRAMS WORLD.

BUT THERE IS THAT INSTRUCTIONAL COMPONENT.

AND IT'S IMPORTANT THAT WHAT WE'RE DOING IN PRE-K ALIGNS TO WHAT THEY ARE THEN DOING IN KINDER.

SO WE'RE WORKING WITH CURRICULUM AND INSTRUCTION TO ENSURE THAT THAT THAT PRE-K IS BEING IN CONSIDERED IN THOSE CONVERSATIONS WE'VE DEVELOPED A STANDARDIZED PROCESS FOR CONDUCTING REEVALUATIONS AND SNAPSHOT MEETINGS FOR SECTION 504.

THAT PROCESS IS ONGOING.

AND WE WILL REFINE THAT BASED ON FEEDBACK AFTER YEAR ONE IMPLEMENTATION.

WE ARE STILL IN THE PROCESS OF CREATING A FRAMEWORK FOR OUR SPECIAL PROGRAMS TASK FORCE TO MONITOR AND MAINTAIN ONGOING COMPLIANCE THROUGH A PUBLIC PUBLIC ACCOUNTABILITY COMPLIANCE SCORECARD.

THE VISION FOR THAT.

FOR AS THE COMMITTEE WOULD LIKE TO SEE IT COME TO FRUITION, IS THAT WE HAVE OUR AREAS THAT WE MAINTAIN AND MONITOR COMPLIANCE IN, WHICH IS SPECIAL EDUCATION.

SECTION 504.

EMERGENT BILINGUAL ESL AND PRE-K.

AND WE HAVE TRANSPARENT ACCOUNTABILITY MEASURES THAT WE REPORT EACH YEAR TO ALL STAKEHOLDERS.

WE ARE IN THE PROCESS OF DEVELOPING AN ESI TECHNICAL SUPPORT RESOURCE FOR ALL STAKEHOLDERS.

WE ADOPTED OPERATING PROCEDURES FOR ESI IN THE FALL.

IT WAS THE LAST AREA WITHIN SPECIAL PROGRAMS THAT DID NOT HAVE A SET OF OPERATING PROCEDURES.

AND SO NOW WE'RE WORKING ON WHAT DO THOSE WHAT DOES THAT LOOK LIKE? FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE TO IMPLEMENT THOSE PROCEDURES.

AND WE'RE STILL WORKING ON THE CREATION OF A DIGITAL STUDENT PORTFOLIO FOR STUDENTS IN SPECIAL EDUCATION.

WE ARE ON TRACK TO COMPLETE ALL OF THESE BY THE END OF THE YEAR.

I BELIEVE WE HAVE TWO MORE MEETINGS SCHEDULED.

WHERE THESE ARE THE AGENDA ITEMS. THE DR. BONNER ANYTIME I SEE DIGITAL AND STUDENT.

IT MAKES ME QUESTION.

WHAT? WHAT IS THAT? CAN YOU CAN YOU EXPLAIN WHAT A DIGITAL STUDENT PORTFOLIO IS? ABSOLUTELY. SO IT'S REALLY DESIGNED FOR STUDENTS WHO MAY BE TRADITIONAL GRADING MEASURES.

DOESN'T PAINT A FULL PICTURE OF THE PROGRESS THEY'RE MAKING.

AND SO WHAT IT WOULD LOOK LIKE IS IF YOU'RE IN FIRST GRADE, THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, YOUR PROGRESS IS CAPTURED IN VARIOUS MEANS THROUGH WRITING SAMPLES PHOTOGRAPHS, VIDEOS OF YOU WORKING.

IT'S JUST A, IT'S A TOOL THAT IS, IS COLLABORATIVE BETWEEN FAMILIES AND TEACHERS.

AND THEN THAT WOULD GO WITH THE STUDENT TO, YOU KNOW, SECOND GRADE.

AND IT PROVIDES A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF WHERE A STUDENT WITH AN IEP MAY BE FUNCTIONING IN, YOU KNOW, BECAUSE GRADES SOMETIMES THEY DON'T TELL THE FULL PICTURE.

AND SO THAT'S WHAT THAT WOULD DO, WOULD PROVIDE SOME MORE MEANING AND CONTEXT FOR CONTINUED INTERVENTIONS AND SUPPORTS AS STUDENTS TRANSITION FROM GRADE TO GRADE.

AND THE ONLY WHO HAS ACCESS TO IT WOULD BE THE THE PARENT AND THE TEACHER.

AND THEN THE NEXT YEAR, THE NEW TEACHER WOULD GET THAT INFORMATION.

SO THE PARENT WOULD CONTINUE TO HAVE ACCESS TO IT, AND THEN IT WOULD BE JUST FOR THE FOR THE TEACHER.

I'M ASSUMING IT'S STORED SOMEWHERE ON ONE OF OUR SERVERS THAT YES, ONLY IT'S PASSWORD PROTECTED OR IT WILL HAVE ALL OF THOSE LAYERS OF SUPPORT.

ARE WE USING ANY TYPE OF DATABASE OR SYSTEM THAT IS PROVIDED BY THE STATE? WE ARE NOT.

WE ARE WE ARE WORKING TO WITH CURRICULUM AND INSTRUCTION TO TARGET THAT SAME HORIZONTAL AND VERTICAL ALIGNMENT, THE EXPECTATIONS THAT OUR STUDENTS HAVE.

AND THEN WE'RE DRILLING IT DOWN.

SO, FOR EXAMPLE, IF A STUDENT, YOU KNOW, STUDENT EXPECTATION 1.1 IN MATH AND THE STUDENT IS NOT PERFORMING THERE, WE'RE GOING TO DRILL BACK TO WHERE THAT STUDENT IS PERFORMING AND CAPTURE THAT IN A MEANINGFUL WAY, SO THAT THE TEACHERS THEN CAN PICK UP WHERE THAT STUDENT LEFT OFF.

SO IT'S IT'S TEKS ALIGNED.

DR. BONNER, DO WE DO YOU HAVE A PARTICULAR CURRICULUM THAT YOU USE FOR PRE-K? WE USE FROG STREET.

OKAY. WE HAVE FROG STREET THREE AND FROG STREET FOUR.

OKAY. SO IN ADDITION TO THE WORK WE'VE DONE WITH THE STRATEGIC ACTION PLAN, WE'VE BEEN VERY BUSY IN THE SPECIAL PROGRAMS OFFICE THIS YEAR. WE HAVE OUR PARENT MONTHLY NEWSLETTER, WHICH WE LAUNCHED IN THE FALL THAT COMES OUT ONCE A MONTH.

WE'VE PURCHASED SCIENCE AND SOCIAL STUDIES RESOURCES AND THAT HAS BEEN PLACED IN SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHERS CLASSROOMS. RECENTLY YOU APPROVED STIPENDS FOR SPECIAL EDUCATION STAFF FOR THE 2425 SCHOOL YEAR.

[01:35:04]

WE'RE GOING TO BE EXPANDING THE PRE-K CONTINUUM TO INCLUDE PRE-K CO-TEACH.

FOR THE 2425 SCHOOL YEAR.

WE'VE CREATED A SPECIAL PROGRAMS GUIDE FOR CAMPUS ADMINISTRATORS, I THINK.

IT FOR ME, THAT'S ONE OF THE THINGS THAT'S BEEN A HIGHLIGHT BECAUSE I DEAL WITH THIS ALL DAY, EVERY DAY.

BUT I WANTED CAMPUS ADMINISTRATORS TO HAVE ACCESS TO INFORMATION AND FEEL EMPOWERED.

AS WELL. AND SO THAT WAS KIND OF A LABOR OF LOVE FOR CAMPUS ADMINISTRATORS.

WE TRAINED ALL SISD STAFF.

INCLUDING GENERAL EDUCATION TEACHERS AND PEERS ON INSTRUCTIONAL STRATEGIES, ACCOMMODATIONS AND MODIFICATIONS FOR STUDENTS SERVED BY SPECIAL EDUCATION AND SECTION 504.

WE'RE WORKING WITH HUMAN RESOURCES, AND WE'VE PROVIDED ONE SPECIALIZED TRAINING FOR SUBSTITUTES WHO SERVE IN SELF-CONTAINED SETTINGS.

AND WE WILL CONTINUE TO OFFER THAT WE HAVE OFFERED MONTHLY PARENT TRAINING SESSIONS.

EACH MONTH FOR PARENTS, EITHER HOSTED BY AN OUTSIDE ENTITY OR DISTRICT ENTITY.

WE WERE AWARDED THE DYSLEXIA GRANT AND THE AUTISM GRANT, WHICH TOTALED AN ADDITIONAL $267,869.

WE'VE DEVELOPED OUR EMERGENT BILINGUAL OPERATING PROCEDURES.

WE'VE CREATED INDIVIDUALIZED PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PATHWAYS FOR ALL STAFF.

AND SO THOSE WERE IMPLEMENTED THIS YEAR.

DIFFERENT STAFF HAD DIFFERENT PATHWAYS THAT THEY COMPLETED BASED ON THE STUDENTS THEY SERVED.

WE DEVELOPED SECTION 504 PROCESSES AND PROCEDURE GUIDES FOR SPECIALISTS.

SO OUR SECTION 504 SPECIALISTS NOW HAVE A CHECKLIST.

WE HOSTED OUR FIRST ANNUAL DRAGON SLAM JAM, WHICH IS A SPECIAL OLYMPICS BASKETBALL EVENT.

WE'VE HOSTED CAMPUS COLLABORATION DAYS WHERE MY TEAM AND I HAVE MET WITH EVERY CAMPUS.

WE DEVELOPED OUR PUBLIC WEBSITE FOR SPECIAL PROGRAMS. AND THAT INCLUDES ALL OF THE RESOURCES THAT I'VE DISCUSSED TODAY, PLUS OTHER THINGS THAT THE COMMUNITY CAN ACCESS.

IN ADDITION TO THAT, WE'VE DEVELOPED AN INTRANET FOR OUR CISD STAFF, WHICH ALLOWS THEM TO EASILY NAVIGATE AND FIND INFORMATION IF THEY NEED IT.

AND PROBABLY THE MOST EXCITING THING THAT WE WILL CHECK OFF THE LIST BY THE END OF THE YEAR IS OUR SAFETY FAIR.

LAST YEAR WE PARTNERED WITH THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE AND WHITE'S CHAPEL FOR A SAFETY FAIR THIS YEAR. NO ONE WAS HOSTING A SAFETY FAIR, SO WE HAVE TAKEN THAT ON.

THAT WILL BE ON MARCH 28TH.

IT WILL BE OPEN TO OUR FAMILIES AND TO OUR STUDENTS.

OUR FAMILIES WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO COME AND HEAR ABOUT THINGS THAT THEY MIGHT NOT THINK ABOUT, CONSIDERING IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY.

FOR EXAMPLE, IF I HAVE A STUDENT WITH AUTISM, THEY MAY NOT RESPOND IN THE SAME MANNER IF THE SMOKE ALARMS GO OFF IN MY HOUSE.

OR, YOU KNOW, WE HAVE SOME SORT OF MEDICAL EMERGENCY.

SO THAT INFORMATION WILL BE SHARED WITH PARENTS.

AND THEN WE WILL HAVE INTERACTIVE STATIONS FOR STUDENTS, AND OUR STUDENTS FROM OUR SELF-CONTAINED SETTINGS WILL COME.

THEY'LL COME TO THE ADMINISTRATION BUILDING.

THEY'LL HAVE OPPORTUNITIES TO INTERACT WITH FIRST RESPONDERS.

THEY'LL HAVE OPPORTUNITIES TO PRACTICE DRILLS.

WE WILL HAVE KITCHEN SAFETY.

WE'RE WORKING WITH OUR OUR NUTRITION DEPARTMENT.

WE WILL HAVE OUTSIDE VENDORS.

WE'LL TALK ABOUT, YOU KNOW PLANNING FOR IF YOUR CHILD IS IS DEAF OR HARD OF HEARING, AND THEY GET THEIR DRIVING AND THEY GET PULLED OVER, HOW DO THEY COMMUNICATE THAT? SO WE'RE JUST TRYING TO THINK OF ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING THAT PARENTS MIGHT NOT THINK OF.

AND DEVELOP A PLAN FOR THAT.

SO THAT'S SUPER EXCITING.

AND THAT WILL BE ON MARCH 28TH.

AGAIN, HERE AT THE ADMINISTRATION BUILDING WITH THE PARENT SESSION STARTING AT, I BELIEVE, 8 A.M..

MOVING ON TO YEAR THREE.

ONE OF THE ITEMS THAT WE DID NOT GET TO TACKLE THIS YEAR WAS OUR GOALS RELATED TO DYSLEXIA? IN AUGUST, THE STATE DEVELOPED NEW PROCEDURES AND PUSHED THEM OUT TO DISTRICTS.

AND AS PART OF THAT, THEY SAID, WE WILL GET YOU A NEW HANDBOOK AND WE HOPE TO HAVE THAT TO YOU BY JANUARY.

SO THEN WE HEARD MAYBE WE'LL GET IT IN APRIL.

AND NOW WE'RE HOPING TO HAVE IT BY JUNE.

AND SO WE'VE KEPT THE COMMITTEE IN THE LOOP AND HAD DECIDED THAT IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE TO DEVELOP ANY KIND OF PROCEDURES OR PROCESSES AROUND DYSLEXIA WHILE WE'RE WAITING TO SEE WHAT'S IN THE DYSLEXIA HANDBOOK.

SO I DO FEEL CONFIDENT THAT WE WILL HAVE THAT TO START NEXT SCHOOL YEAR.

AND SO THOSE OBJECTIVES WILL BE OUR WE WILL MOVE THOSE TO YEAR THREE ACTION ITEMS, WHICH IS TO CREATE A PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FRAMEWORK FOR STAFF WHO SERVE STUDENTS WITH

[01:40:04]

DYSLEXIA. SPECIFICALLY, AS DYSLEXIA HAS MOVED UNDER SPECIAL EDUCATION AND TO CREATE A STAFFING STUDY TO EVALUATE CASELOADS TO DETERMINE THE ADDITIONAL NEEDED FTES.

WHAT WE KNOW IS THAT TO DATE, WE HAVE IDENTIFIED, WE HAVE EVALUATED AND IDENTIFIED AS MANY STUDENTS WITH DYSLEXIA THAT WE DID FOR THE ENTIRE SCHOOL YEAR LAST YEAR.

SO THOSE NUMBERS ARE INCREASING.

WE DO KNOW THAT WE HAVE WHAT, THREE MONTHS TO GO? SO WE CLEARLY WILL SURPASS THAT.

BUT AGAIN, UNTIL WE KNOW WHAT THE EXPECTATION FROM THE STATE LOOKS LIKE WITH IN REGARDS TO INSTRUCTION, WE DON'T WANT TO MAKE ANY DECISIONS.

WE CONTINUE TO REFINE OUR PROCEDURES.

WE DO ALSO EXPECT THAT WE'LL GET NEW SECTION 504 GUIDANCE.

AND SO WHEN THAT COMES DOWN, THAT MEANS THAT WE WILL HAVE TO PROBABLY DO SOME REVISITING OF ALL OF THE POLICIES AND PROCEDURES THAT WE'VE DEVELOPED.

IN YEAR ONE AND WE WILL CONTINUE TO WORK ON OUR CONTINUING CONTINUUM OF LEARNING.

AND LOCATION OF SERVICES FOR THE PROVISION OF SPECIAL EDUCATION AT OUR DISTRICT CAMPUSES.

THANK YOU, DR. BONNER.

QUICK QUESTION. MAYBE AN IOU AS WELL.

THREE YEARS AGO, I THINK I WAS THE ONLY ONE THAT WAS ON THE TRUSTEE LENNON WAS ON.

THAT WAS WHEN WE ADOPTED FROG STREET.

AND WE WE WHEN WE WERE RESEARCHING IT, WE FOUND THAT THEY WERE ON THEIR WEBSITE PLANNING ON USING TWO COMPANIES THAT WE RESEARCHED.

AND WE DID WE FELT LIKE THAT THAT DIDN'T MEET OUR COMMUNITY'S VALUES.

AND SO THE DISTRICT HELD A KIND OF A SHOW AND TELL WITH THE DEVELOPERS OF FROG STREET WHO ACTUALLY ARE IN SOUTHLAKE.

WHICH IS GREAT.

IS THERE ANY WAY THAT YOU.

SO I HEARD YOU SAY WE'RE ON VERSION THREE OF THIS FROG STREET CURRICULUM.

IS THAT IS THAT CORRECT? NO, NO, NO, WE HAVE WE HAVE FROG STREET THREE, WHICH IS FOR THREE YEAR OLDS, AND FROG STREET FOUR, WHICH IS FOR FOUR YEAR OLDS.

AND IS IS IT THE SAME CURRICULUM THAT WE, THE BOARD ADOPTED THREE YEARS AGO WITH NO CHANGES? YES. OKAY.

WOULD YOU WOULD YOU MIND DOING THIS SIMILAR THING FOR AND INVITE THE TRUSTEES TO COME AND GET A KIND OF A SHOW AND TELL OF WHAT THIS CURRICULUM IS ALL ABOUT AND WHAT THEY DO? AND THEY ASSURED US THAT THEY REVIEW EVERYTHING BEFORE THEY GIVE IT TO OUR CAMPUSES AND TRAIN OUR TEACHERS. SO I JUST WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT WE WE'RE STILL THAT'S STILL HAPPENING.

YES, WE CAN ABSOLUTELY DO THAT.

AND IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE RIGHT AWAY.

BUT I THINK EVERYBODY ON THE ON THE BOARD HERE WOULD LIKE TO KIND OF SEE WHAT OUR PRE-K, ESPECIALLY IF WE'RE STARTING TO TALK ABOUT POSSIBLY INCREASING OUR PRE-K PROGRAM.

AND I FAILED TO MENTION BUT WE DO HAVE OUR PRE-K INFORMATION NIGHT FOR FAMILIES THIS THURSDAY, THE 29TH, BEGINNING AT 530.

OKAY. AND WE WILL WE WILL TOUCH ON THAT JUST A LITTLE BIT AT THAT TIME AS WELL.

OKAY. THANK YOU, DR.

BONNER. I WAS GOING TO ASK HOW DOES HOW DO YOU HORIZONTALLY NOT HORIZONTALLY.

HOW DO YOU VERTICALLY ALIGN FROG STREET WITH THE CURRICULUM THAT WE'RE USING FOR KINDERGARTEN K THROUGH 4K THROUGH FIVE.

SO I WILL SAY THAT THE VERTICAL THE VERTICAL ALIGNMENT IS THE MOST DIFFICULT WHEN YOU TRANSITION FROM PRE-K TO KINDER, BECAUSE PRE-K WE USE WHAT'S CALLED THE PRE-K GUIDELINES AND THEY LOOK AT DEVELOPMENTAL DOMAINS.

AND THEN WHEN YOU MOVE TO KINDER, YOU USE THE TEXAS EDUCATION ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL STATEMENTS, THE TEAKS.

BUT WE ARE WORKING WITH ANGELA HAMMOND WHO DOES THE ELEMENTARY VERTICAL ALIGNMENT.

AND. WITHIN THOSE DEVELOPMENTAL DELAYS.

SORRY DOMAINS, THERE ARE STILL AREAS THAT YOU CAN ALIGN BECAUSE WE DO COVER, YOU KNOW, READING OR PRE-READING.

WE COVER, YOU KNOW, EARLY MATH, EARLY LITERACY SKILLS.

AND, AND CONCEPTS OF COMMUNITY, WHICH WOULD KIND OF ALIGN TO SOCIAL STUDIES.

AND SO IT CAN BE DONE.

IT MEANS THAT JUST LIKE WITH ANYTHING ELSE, YOU MAY NOT TEACH FROM THE FRONT COVER OF A BOOK TO THE BACK COVER OF A BOOK.

YOU'RE GOING TO ENSURE THAT YOU'RE TEACHING IT SO THAT IT ALIGNS TO WITH WHAT, WHAT IT WOULD LOOK LIKE IN KINDER.

FIRST, HE SAYS, I THINK I THINK IT WILL HELP YOU IF YOU GET A PRESENTATION FROM THE DEVELOPERS SO YOU CAN IN YOUR MIND, SEE EXACTLY WHAT IT IS.

OKAY. AND THEN LET US GO AND LOOK AT WHAT THE KINDERS ARE DOING TO SEE IF THERE'S ANY CORRELATION WHATSOEVER.

AND MY GUESS IS PROBABLY NOT, BUT OKAY.

AND THEN I JUST, I WANTED TO KIND OF, YOU KNOW, WE WERE ALWAYS TALKING ABOUT YOU KNOW, THAT WE'RE UNDER FUNDED BY THE STATE, BUT SPECIAL PROGRAMS IS VERY UNDERFUNDED AS WELL.

AND I THINK THAT'S IMPORTANT FOR OUR COMMUNITY TO UNDERSTAND OR REALIZE.

I KNOW THAT WE TALK ABOUT IT WHEN WE'RE TALKING ABOUT, YOU KNOW, RAISING THE BASIC STUDENT ALLOTMENT, BUT WE ARE IDENTIFYING MORE CHILDREN THAT ARE IDENTIFYING WITH SPECIAL

[01:45:07]

NEEDS AND THE SERVICES.

YOU CAN'T PUT A CAP ON THE THE PRICE OF THE SERVICES BECAUSE EACH STUDENT IS SO DIFFERENT.

AND SO I THINK THAT'S ANOTHER ANOTHER THING FOR OUR COMMUNITY TO UNDERSTAND IS THAT WHEN WE ARE TRYING TO ADVOCATE FOR MORE ARRAYS IN THE STUDENT ALLOTMENT, WE'RE ALSO NEEDING TO ADVOCATE FOR SPECIAL PROGRAMS BECAUSE WE'RE HAVING TO TAKE FROM OUR GENERAL FUND TO FUND WHAT THE STATE ISN'T FUNDING FOR SPECIAL PROGRAMS, AND MORE THAN A CAP OF A SPECIFIC AMOUNT OF WHAT'S NEEDED.

WE DON'T KNOW WHAT'S NEEDED YET BECAUSE IT DEPENDS ON EVERY STUDENT.

SO ALMOST STARTING TO ADVOCATE FOR A REIMBURSEMENT OF FUNDS THAT THE DISTRICT USES FOR OUR KIDS.

IT'S JUST REALLY IMPORTANT, ESPECIALLY LISTENING TO ALL THE INCREDIBLE THINGS THAT YOU AND YOUR TEAM ARE DOING.

WE'RE VERY INADEQUATELY UNDERFUNDED FOR SPECIAL PROGRAMS. THAT SAID, I HAD ASKED MR. JOHNSON TO LOOK SPECIFICALLY AT WHAT HE BELIEVES IS THE UNDERFUNDING FOR YOUR PROGRAMS. HUM. AND I THINK YOU'RE WORKING ON THAT RIGHT NOW.

IT WILL BE IN THE, IN THE MARCH 4TH BOARD WORKSHOP.

YEAH. SO I JUST WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT THIS IS I CAN'T WAIT TO GET ON THIS, ACTUALLY, EXACTLY WHAT TRUSTEE STACY SAID.

YEAH, THIS THIS YEAR HAS BEEN INTERESTING BECAUSE WITH THE SHIFT OF THE DYSLEXIA UNDER SPED DYSLEXIA UNDER 504 WAS AN UNFUNDED MANDATE BECAUSE SECTION 504 IS AN UNFUNDED MANDATE.

SO WE ARE HOPING THAT THE NEW DYSLEXIA HANDBOOK WILL MAKE IT CLEAR WHAT FUNDING LOOKS LIKE FOR ALL THOSE STUDENTS WHO WERE NOW THOSE, YOU KNOW, NEW 180 PLUS STUDENTS WHO WE'VE IDENTIFIED THIS YEAR IN SPECIAL EDUCATION.

IF YOU CAN SEND THIS BOARD OR JUST ME AND I DON'T CARE HOW YOU CONTACT ME, ANYTHING THAT YOU BELIEVE WITH THOSE CHANGES.

THIS IS NOW UNFUNDED AND WORKING WITH MR. JOHNSON BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT WE WANT TO DO.

THE OTHER THING, SORT OF ON THE HEELS OF THAT, AND THAT'S WORKING WITH THE FOLKS IN AUSTIN.

IS IT TIA THAT'S THAT IS DELAYING THIS INFORMATION THAT YOU NEED.

YES, IN A ROUNDABOUT WAY, IT GOES THROUGH ANY TIME THEY'RE GOING TO IMPLEMENT NEW POLICIES.

IT GOES THROUGH VARIOUS COMMITTEES.

SO LEGISLATION WAS PASSED.

HOUSE BILL 39, 28 WAS PASSED LAST SUMMER, YOU KNOW, AT THE END OF THE SESSION.

AND IT SAID, THESE ARE THE THINGS THAT A DISTRICT HAS TO DO.

AND THEY SAID, OH, AND BY THE WAY, WE NEED YOU TO GO AHEAD AND START IT.

IN AUGUST OF 2023.

SO TIA DIDN'T GET A CHANCE TO, TO GET AHEAD OF IT BECAUSE THEY PASSED A LEGISLATION AND THEN MADE IT EFFECTIVE FOR THAT SCHOOL YEAR.

SO, YOU KNOW, THAT'S KIND OF WHY THERE'S THERE HAS BEEN THE DELAY.

I KNOW THAT IT'S OPEN FOR PUBLIC COMMENTS, FOR REVIEW RIGHT NOW.

SO I HAVE SHARED THAT INFORMATION WITH THE PEOPLE IN MY DEPARTMENT WHO ARE IN THE KNOW TO PROVIDE FEEDBACK.

SO THAT, YOU KNOW, THAT'S THE WAY THAT THESE KIND OF THINGS WORK IS THEY THEY DRAFT IT, YOU GET A DRAFT, IT GOES TO PUBLIC COMMENTS, IT GOES BEFORE STATE BOARD OF EDUCATION A FEW TIMES. AND SO IT'S JUST KEEPS GETTING DELAYED FOR VARIOUS REASONS.

SO THAT DELAY IS HAVING AN EFFECT ON OUR STAFF AND THEN TRICKLING DOWN AND AFFECTING AN ILL EFFECT TO OUR STUDENTS.

RIGHT. YEAH.

SO I DON'T LIKE THIS IDEA OF THEM GIVING YOU A DATE AND THEN PUSHING IT BACK AND PUSHING IT BACK, AND THEN IT REALLY MESSES WITH THEN OUR NEXT SCHOOL YEAR IN TERMS OF CURRICULUM. SO IF YOU COULD SEND ESPECIALLY TO THE OFFICERS WHO HAVE A DIRECT RELATIONSHIP WITH OUR SBOE MEMBERS, WE'VE TALKED IN PREVIOUS MEETINGS.

I WOULD LIKE TO PUT THIS ON HER PLATE AND TOP OF HER INBOX TO SEE IF SHE CAN'T HELP US, OKAY, BECAUSE WE WANT TO HELP.

AND THAT DELAY SOUNDS LIKE IT'S HURTING ALL OF US IN OUR SCHOOL.

THANK YOU, TRUSTEE YEAGER.

ANY OTHER QUESTIONS FOR DR.

BARTER? ALL RIGHT.

THANK YOU, DR. BARTER. THANK YOU, MISS PETTY.

[11. DISCUSSION/ACTION]

WE'LL MOVE ON TO OUR DISCUSSION.

ACTION ITEM 11 11.1, CONSIDER FOR APPROVAL ORDER OF CANCELLATION OF THE 2024 GENERAL ELECTION ON SATURDAY, MAY 4TH, 2024.

SO THIS IS EXACTLY LIKE IT SOUNDS BECAUSE WE HAD BOTH POSITIONS THAT WERE UNOPPOSED.

ONCE EVERYTHING WAS FINALIZED.

ASK THAT YOU CONSIDER CANCELING THE ELECTION.

I MOVE THAT THE BOARD ORDER A CANCELLATION OF THE ELECTION AS PRESENTED.

SECOND, I HAVE A MOTION AND A SECOND.

ALL IN FAVOR? MOTION CARRIES 7 TO 0.

MOVING ON TO 11.2.

CONSIDER FOR APPROVAL POLICY UPDATE 6.14.7 STUDENT AND PARENT COMPLAINTS.

GRIEVANCES. DR.

SMOLSKIS. YES.

GOOD EVENING, PRESIDENT BRYANT.

WELCOME, MISS BONHAM.

[01:50:01]

WHEN WE DO CHANGES TO LOCAL POLICIES, WE BRING IT TO THE BOARD.

AND SO THIS EVENING, WHAT I AM TAKING TO YOU ALL IS TO LOOK AT OUR LOCAL POLICY.

16.1 4.7 STUDENT AND PARENT COMPLAINT GRIEVANCES.

THIS POLICY MODIFICATION ENCOMPASSES UPDATING THE PREVIOUS POLICY REFERENCES.

ALIGNING THE NEW NUMBERING SYSTEM AND ALTERING THE DESIGNATED CONTACT PERSON RESPONSIBLE FOR REACHING OUT TO PARENTS REGARDING A LEVEL THREE HEARING.

AND SO BASICALLY, THE ONLY CHANGE THAT I'M BRINGING TO PROPOSE IS THAT WE CHANGE.

THE BOARD WOULD CONTACT OUR PARENTS DURING A LEVEL THREE HEARING.

I MOVE TO APPROVE THIS LOCAL POLICY CHANGE.

SIX POINT 14.7 STUDENT AND PARENT COMPLAINTS GRIEVANCES AS PRESENTED.

SECOND MOTION A SECOND.

ANY FURTHER DISCUSSION? JUST A QUESTION.

I'M NOT OPPOSED TO IT.

I ACTUALLY THINK IT MAKES SENSE.

I JUST PRACTICALLY SPEAKING, AS WE GO THROUGH THE LEVEL ONE, LEVEL TWO, LEVEL THREE COMPLAINT IT'S OBVIOUS THAT THE BOARD IS RESPONDING TO THE PARENTS.

HOW EXACTLY DOES THAT TAKE PLACE? THE ADMINISTRATION TELLS US THERE'S A LEVEL THREE COMING.

WE'RE BRIEFED ON IT.

THEN WE CORRESPOND OR GIVE THE PARENTS NOTICE THAT WE'RE ACCEPTING HAVING A LEVEL THREE, AND WE SET A DATE DIRECTLY WITH THE WITH THE COMPLAINANT.

IS. IS THAT HOW IT WORKS? I JUST KIND OF WANT TO KNOW HOW THE STEPS WORK.

YES, THAT IS CORRECT.

YOU JUST YOU SUMMARIZED IT PERFECTLY.

SO I GUESS THIS PROPOSAL IS TAKEN BECAUSE THE GRIEVANCE IS A PARTY IN THE DISTRICT.

IT'S ANOTHER PARTY.

AND THEN WE'RE THE ONES THAT ARE, YOU KNOW, HAVE PRESIDING AUTHORITY OVER LEVEL THREE.

SO IT SHOULD COME FROM US TO THE GRIEVANT AND NOT THE DISTRICT'S ATTORNEY TO THE GRIEVANCE.

AGAIN, I THINK THAT MAKES SENSE.

NOW, DOES THAT MEAN PRESIDENT BRYAN, YOU WOULD RESPOND OR LIKE, WE'RE A WE'RE A BUNCH OF PEOPLE.

IT WOULD BE THE BOARD ATTORNEY.

OH, OKAY. SO THE BOARD ATTORNEY ON OUR BEHALF IS BASICALLY CORRESPONDING WITH THE COMPLAINANT, CORRECT? THAT IS CORRECT. YEAH. THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

OKAY. WE HAVE A MOTION AND A SECOND.

ALL IN FAVOR? MOTION CARRIES 7 TO 0.

THANK YOU. THANK YOU.

DR.. MOVING ON TO 11.3.

CONSIDER FOR APPROVAL ACQUISITION OF TECHNOLOGY RESOURCES, MISTER STEWART.

YES. THANK YOU.

SCHOOL BOARD TRUSTEES PRESIDENT BRYAN.

I BRING FOR YOUR APPROVAL A CONSIDERATION OF TECHNOLOGY ACQUISITION OF RESOURCES.

MANY OF THESE ITEMS THAT YOU'RE GOING TO SEE, YOU MIGHT REMEMBER FROM PAST THINGS, BUT I'M GOING TO KIND OF GO THROUGH THEM QUICKLY.

CAN YOU SWITCH TO.

THANK YOU, SIR. FEEDBACK FROM OUR STRATEGIC PLANNING COMMITTEE AND STUDENTS AND PRINCIPALS.

THERE WAS CONCERNS ABOUT ABOUT BYOD, AND THEY RECOMMENDED CHROMEBOOKS.

THERE'S KIND OF THREE LEVELS OF SECURITY.

THE CHROMEBOOK WE CAN LOCK DOWN THE MOST BECAUSE IT'S REALLY BASIC OPERATING SYSTEM.

THERE'S NOT AS MUCH FOR STUDENTS TO KIND OF MESS WITH.

AND IT CAN USE ALL OF OUR KIND OF PROTECTION SYSTEMS, INTERNET FILTERS CLASSROOM SCREEN MONITORING, SO THE TEACHERS CAN SEE WHAT THE STUDENTS ARE DOING ON THEIR SCREENS.

WE HAVE SELF HARM ALERTING.

SO IN CASE THEY DO CYBERBULLYING OR, OR THREATEN OTHER VIOLENCE, WE CAN RECORD THAT AND SEND THAT TO THE CORRECT CORRESPONDING PEOPLE.

WHEREAS BRING YOUR OWN DEVICES THEIR, THEIR DEVICES AND THEY HAVE CONTROL OF THEM.

AND SO WE CAN'T MANAGE THEM IN THE SAME WAY AND CAN'T HAVE THOSE SAME FILTERS ON THEM.

IF THEY CONNECT IT TO OUR WI-FI, WE WOULD BE ABLE TO FILTER IT.

BUT IF THEY CONNECT IT TO THEIR PERSONAL CELL PHONE, THEN IT WOULD WOULD BE FILTERED.

THIS IS THE SLIDE THAT MISS PETTY BROUGHT LAST TIME.

I DID JUST WANT TO MENTION ONE THING.

WE HAD SOME QUESTIONS ABOUT THIRD GRADE IPADS.

TO GIVE YOU A LITTLE MORE DETAILS ON ON WHY THOSE ARE COMING UP.

MORE IN NEED OF REFRESH.

ONE ASPECT IS THAT OUR APPLE SALES REPS HAVE TOLD US THAT THE GENERATION SIX IPAD, WHICH IS WHAT OUR THIRD GRADERS HAVE, THEY EXPECT IT TO GO END OF LIFE IN JUNE. THEY HAVEN'T MADE AN OFFICIAL STATEMENT.

SOME COMPANIES GIVE YOU A LONG YEARS IN ADVANCE NOTICE OF, HEY, WE'RE BRINGING THIS PRODUCT END OF LIFE.

APPLE MORE JUST TELLS YOU WHEN THEY DO IT.

BUT WE WOULD PREDICT, GIVEN THE LIFE CYCLE OF THE COMPUTER, THAT'S WHAT THEY'VE DONE WITH OTHER THINGS, THAT IT WILL PROBABLY GO END OF LIFE IN JUNE.

THAT WON'T NECESSARILY STOP ANYTHING AT THAT TIME.

THEY'LL CONTINUE TO WORK. AND THEY'RE ALL KIND OF WORKING CURRENTLY.

BUT IF AFTER THAT.

SO IN JUNE THEY BRING THAT GENERATION IPAD END OF LIFE AND THEN LET'S SAY IN AUGUST THEY RELEASE IOS 19.

WELL, IT WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO GET THAT CURRENT IOS 19.

AND THEN IF IN OCTOBER THEY RELEASED NEW APPS FOR OUR ONLINE TEXTBOOKS OR STAAR TESTING OR WHATEVER IT IS THAT NEED THAT NEW IOS, THEY WOULDN'T BE

[01:55:07]

ABLE TO GET IT. AND SO THAT'S JUST KIND OF THE LIFE CYCLE OF DEVICES.

NONE OF THOSE THINGS ARE STATED.

THIS WILL HAPPEN ON ANY OF THOSE DATES.

BUT THERE'S A GOOD CHANCE THAT SOME OF THOSE THINGS WILL HAPPEN.

WITH THAT SAID, EVEN WHEN YOU GET THE LATEST IOS, MOST OF YOUR APPS DON'T STOP WORKING.

SO IT'S NOT A DOOMSDAY HIT.

WHEN THAT HITS, IT'S JUST, HEY, WHEN YOU GET WHEN YOUR APPLE DEVICE GETS END OF LIFE, YOU STOP GETTING SOME OF THE MORE CURRENT APPS.

THAT'S THE WAY IT WORKS. FRANCIS.

THIS IS THE SLIDE THAT WE TALKED ABOUT THE IMPLICATIONS OF STAAR TESTING.

AND AGAIN, JUST THAT IF YOU HAVE LESS DEVICES TO TEST ON, THEN YOU HAVE TO SPREAD THE STAAR TEST OUT OVER MORE DAYS.

AND SO YOU HAVE MORE DAYS KIND OF DISTRACTED FROM INSTRUCTION AS YOU'RE DOING STAAR TESTING.

AND SO HERE WAS PACKAGE ONE THAT WE DISCUSSED.

THE COST REDUCTIONS IN THIS IS TO MOVE AWAY FROM HAVING COMPUTERS AND COMPUTER LABS, BUT RATHER INSTEAD, AS THE STUDENTS ARE ALL ASSIGNED THEIR OWN DEVICES, THEY WOULD TAKE THEM WITH THEM TO THE COMPUTER LABS NOT UPDATING PRE-K THROUGH TWO IPADS AT THIS TIME.

NOT REFRESHING CLASSROOM DESKTOPS.

SO THE TEACHERS HAVE BOTH A DESKTOP AND A LAPTOP, AND WE'RE JUST KEEPING THEIR THEIR LAPTOPS AND LIFE CYCLE, EXTENDING THE TEACHER LAPTOP LIFE CYCLE FROM FOUR YEARS TO FIVE YEARS, EXTENDING THE SPED AND CTE COMPUTER DESKTOPS LIFE CYCLES LONGER AS WELL.

BUT THIS WOULD INVEST INTO NON CLASSROOM DESKTOPS.

SO IF YOU'RE IN THE FRONT OFFICE AND YOU ONLY HAVE A DESKTOP THAT'S OLDER THAN FIVE YEARS OLD, IT WOULD REFRESH THAT SO THAT THEY'RE ABLE TO WORK EFFECTIVELY.

THIS PLAN INCLUDES IPADS FOR THIRD GRADES WITH THE KEYBOARD THAT'S PART OF THEIR TECHS FOR KEYBOARDING.

REFRESHING OF STAFF LAPTOPS THAT ARE FIVE YEARS OR OLDER, AS WELL AS CHROMEBOOKS FOR GRADES FIVE AND SIX.

SO THE CURRENT DEVICES THAT THOSE FIFTH AND SIXTH GRADERS WOULD HAVE WOULD MOVE TO GRADES NINE AND TEN THAT ARE.

FIVE YEAR OLD LAPTOPS CURRENTLY.

PACKAGE TWO IS THE SAME COST REDUCTIONS AND THE SAME INVESTMENTS WITH ONE DIFFERENCE.

INSTEAD OF BUYING CHROMEBOOKS FOR GRADES FIVE AND SIX, IT'S MOVING GRADES 11 AND 12 TO BYOD AND TAKING THEIR DEVICES AND MOVING TO GRADES NINE AND TEN.

AND SO THAT THAT COST OF $660,000 IS REMOVED FROM THIS PLAN.

WE ALSO DISCUSSED.

THE NEED TO BEGIN REFRESHING SOME OF OUR CLASSROOM AV AUDIO VIDEO EQUIPMENT THAT THE VIDEO, SWITCHING, THE INPUT PANELS, THE WIRING ALL THAT'S GOOD, BUT WE ARE SEEING A CONSISTENT AND PERSISTENT INCREASE IN FAILURE RATES OF DISPLAYS AND THAT THE PROJECTORS HAVE THE SHORTEST LIFE CYCLE. AND SO IN THIS BOTH PROPOSALS IS $141,000 FOR REPLACING THE PROJECTORS AT CARROLL HIGH SCHOOL, WHICH THAT CAMPUS PROJECTORS ARE THE OLDEST WITH THE DEVICES OF THE SHORTEST LIFE CYCLE.

AND THEN ALSO I WANTED TO MENTION WE DID ADD IN HERE $70,000 SINCE THE LAST TIME I PRESENTED TO YOU FOR CLASSROOM SAFETY BELL PA SYSTEMS. AND THE PREVIOUS BOND, WE PUT BELL PA SYSTEMS AND ALL THE CLASSROOMS IN THE, IN THE SCHOOL DISTRICT.

BUT THERE WERE SOME CONFERENCE PERIODS, MAKER SPACES WORK ROOMS, STUFF LIKE THAT, THAT WERE KIND OF OPEN SPACES.

AND THEY JUST THE IDEA WAS THEY WOULD JUST HEAR THEM FROM THE HALLS.

AND SO WE DIDN'T SET PUT INDEPENDENT SPEAKERS IN THOSE SPACES.

WELL, WITH KIND OF NEWER SECURITY MEASURES WHERE WE KEEP ALL OF OUR DOORS LOCKED AND THOSE SPACES WHERE THEY'RE DOING PULL OUTS AND SMALLER GROUPS THAT SETTINGS AND WORK ROOMS, THEY'RE NOT ABLE TO HEAR EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS, AND IT'S BECOME MORE OF A SECURITY ISSUE.

AND WE NEED TO GET SOUND INTO ALL OF THOSE SPACES.

SO THERE'S QUITE A FEW OF THESE SPACES THROUGHOUT THE DISTRICT THAT SOUND IS IS NEEDED.

AND SO THIS WE HAD TRIED TO PUT THIS INTO A COUPLE OF DIFFERENT SAFETY AND SECURITY GRANTS, BUT IT JUST DIDN'T FIT WITH THEIR REQUIREMENTS.

AND SO THAT'S WHY WE'RE ROLLING IT INTO THIS ONE FOR YOUR APPROVAL TONIGHT.

AND SO THE TOTAL COST OF OPTION ONE.

AND AGAIN, THE FIRST TIME WE REVIEWED THIS, THERE WAS KIND OF A LOT OF OPTIONS.

AND WE'VE KIND OF NARROWED THEM DOWN.

BUT WE CAN STILL IF YOU HAVE ANY OTHER ADJUSTMENTS WE CAN DISCUSS THOSE.

AN OPTION TWO IS WITHOUT THE FIFTH AND SIXTH GRADE CHROMEBOOKS.

AND THERE'S THOSE COSTS.

ARE THERE ANY QUESTIONS? YEAH. THANK YOU, MR. STEWART. AND THANK YOU FOR THE TEAM BEING ON THIS TECHNOLOGY ACTION TEAM.

I CAN SEE THE HARD WORK IS GREAT.

I WANTED TO COMPLIMENT YOU AND YOUR STAFF, MR. STEWART. AND THAT IS IF YOU CAN BRING UP THE SLIDE AGAIN ON THE AV REFRESH BACKGROUND, I THINK THIS MIGHT BE SOME OF YOUR VERY BEST WORK AND YOUR TEAM.

[02:00:09]

AND THAT IS, THIS IS IF YOU JUST GO THROUGH THIS AGAIN, BECAUSE I THINK THIS IS EXACTLY WHEN WE TALK ABOUT ZERO BASED BUDGETING.

PRESIDENT BRYAN, THIS SLIDE TO ME TELLS ME HOW HARD THIS TEAM IS WORKING TO SAVE THIS DISTRICT MONEY.

AND I WOULD JUST LIKE YOU TO GO THROUGH THIS BECAUSE THIS, TO ME, IS JUST A LITTLE NUGGET THAT I THINK NEEDS TO BE HIGHLIGHTED.

WELL, THANK YOU. I'D BE GLAD TO.

SO CAMPUS CLASSROOM AV SYSTEMS, WHICH ARE IN PRE-K THROUGH FOUR, IS AN LED PANEL AND FIVE THROUGH 12 IS A PROJECTOR BECAUSE THEY REALLY WANTED MORE DRY RACE SPACE. THEY WERE INSTALLED BETWEEN 2018 AND 2019 WITH BOND FUNDING, WITH BOND FUNDS.

AND THEY'VE REACHED END OF LIFE.

AND YOU CAN KIND OF SEE I'VE GOT A LOT OF INFORMATION ON THIS PAGE, BUT IF YOU IF YOU LOOK CLOSELY, THIS BOTTOM FAILURE RATES, YOU CAN SEE FROM YEAR AFTER YEAR, THERE'S A CONSISTENT INCREASE IN THE NUMBER OF, OF FAILURES.

WE'VE ALSO LOOKED AT THE GENERATION.

SO IF WE REPLACE IT THE SAME LIKE FOR LIKE RIGHT NOW IT'S MORE EXPENSIVE THAN IF WE BUY CURRENT GENERATION.

AND SO OUR GOAL IS TO TO BEGIN SAVING MONEY BY BUYING CURRENT GENERATION.

NOW WHEN WE WHEN WE PUT IT ALL IN FIRST TIME, IT COSTS ABOUT $8 MILLION TO PUT IT ALL IN.

AND THANKFULLY WE BOUGHT SOME NICE EQUIPMENT, AV SYSTEMS THAT HAVE A LONGER LIFE CYCLE.

SO INSTEAD OF JUST FORKLIFT REPLACING ALL OF IT, WE'VE SAID, HEY, THE VIDEO SWITCH IN THE CEILINGS THEY HAVE A FAILURE RATE THAT'S HAPPENING, BUT IT'S NOT UNDOABLE FOR US TO MANAGE ON A REGULAR 199 ANNUAL BUDGETS.

AND SO WE CAN KEEP KIND OF BREAK FIXING THOSE AS WE GO.

BUT THE THE FAILURE RATE OF THE PROJECTORS IS QUICKLY INCREASING.

AND WE DON'T HAVE THE MONEY IN OUR 199 BUDGETS TO, TO TO SHOOT THAT INCREASE.

AND SO THE PLAN IS ALL RIGHT.

WHERE ARE THEY FAILING THE MOST AT THE HIGH SCHOOL BECAUSE THOSE ARE THE OLDEST.

IF WE PUT IN ALL NEW PROJECTORS AT THE HIGH SCHOOL 100 AND.

ONE OF THEM.

WE WOULD HARVEST THE WORKING ONES THAT ARE IN THE HIGH SCHOOL, AND THEN AS THEY FAIL ON OTHER CAMPUS, WE'LL USE THOSE TO REPLACE OTHER ONES UNTIL WE RUN OUT.

AND THEN WE WOULD BRING BACK TO YOU IN THE FUTURE, THE NEXT CAMPUS.

AND WE'D CONTINUE TO GROW UNTIL OVER TIME, WE'VE REPLACED ALL THE CAMPUSES.

AV TECHNOLOGY. THAT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED IN LIFE CYCLE.

BUT INSTEAD OF BRINGING YOU AN $8 MILLION BILL LIKE, HEY, LET'S REPLACE IT ALL, EVEN THOUGH IT IS ALL AT END OF LIFE, WE'RE JUST SAYING, HEY, WHAT WE NEED REALLY RIGHT NOW TO CONTINUE FUNCTIONING FOR TEACHERS TO TEACH EFFECTIVELY IS THESE HIGH SCHOOL PROJECTORS FOR 141,000.

I THINK THIS IS GREAT WORK.

AND AGAIN, THANK YOU SO MUCH BECAUSE TO YOUR POINT, $8 MILLION DO IT ALL $141,000, RIGHT, WITH THIS PLAN.

THE OTHER THING THAT I WANTED TO ASK ABOUT IS CORRECT ME IF I'M WRONG, BUT WE AS A BOARD APPROVE FOURTH GRADE IPADS WITH THE KEYBOARDS LAST YEAR.

CORRECT. AND WE'VE BEEN TALKING A LOT ABOUT THIS AS A BOARD, AS A COMMUNITY, ABOUT WHAT IS ACTUALLY MANDATED BY THE STATE WHEN IT COMES TO STAAR TESTING. AND IN THIS TECHNOLOGY TEAM WE'VE BEEN TALKING ABOUT, WHAT DO WE NEED IN IN THE STATE DOES NOT ALLOW OUR DRAGON STUDENTS TO TAKE STAAR TESTS ON THEIR OWN DEVICES.

IT HAS TO BE A DEVICE.

SO AND MR. JOHNSON, ANOTHER UNFUNDED MANDATE.

THEY'RE TELLING US YOU HAVE TO HAVE A DEVICE THAT THE DISTRICT OWNS, BUT WE ARE NOT GOING TO GIVE YOU MONEY FOR THOSE DEVICES.

OKAY. SO WE'RE ADDING THAT TO THE LIST.

BUT THAT THIRD GRADE THAT HAS TO TAKE THE STAAR.

COULD THEY NOT USE THE FOURTH GRADERS IPADS? THEY CAN, IT WOULD.

SO AT THIS MOMENT TODAY, THE THIRD GRADE IPADS AND KEYBOARDS WORK, BUT THEY ARE CONTINUING TO FAIL.

AND WE'RE DOWN TO.

LIKE A HANDFUL OF KEYBOARDS TO SWAP THEM OUT AT THIS POINT, AND SO WE MIGHT HIT TWO BY THE TIME WE GET TO STAAR TESTING SEASON, THEY MIGHT BE EXHAUSTED, AND SO WE MIGHT BE 2030 KEYBOARDS SHORT FOR THIRD GRADE WHEN THE POSSIBILITY OF IT WHEN STAAR HITS, AT WHICH POINT THEY WOULD HAVE TO BORROW FROM THE FOURTH GRADERS THOSE IPADS FOR THAT STAAR TEST.

AND IF EVEN IF THEY DID IT THAT ON A LARGE SCALE WORST CASE SCENARIO MEANS WOULD BE THAT YOU COULDN'T TEST BOTH THIRD AND FOURTH GRADERS AT THE SAME TIME.

AND SO IT MIGHT IMPACT INSTRUCTION FOR TWO DAYS INSTEAD OF INSTEAD OF ONE.

I WOULD LIKE TO SEE US LEAN IN WITH C AND I ABOUT THE STAAR TESTING TECHNOLOGY NEEDS TO SEE WHERE PERHAPS WE CAN'T. YOU KNOW, WE JUST BOUGHT NEW DEVICES, YOU KNOW, IF IT'S OKAY THAT THE THIRD GRADERS AND THE FOURTH GRADERS, YOU KNOW, THAT THEY BASICALLY SWAP TECHNOLOGY FOR THEIR NEEDS.

I JUST DON'T FEEL LIKE I WANT TO SIGN OFF ON NEW TECHNOLOGY FOR THIRD GRADERS.

[02:05:05]

WE JUST DID FOURTH GRADE, RIGHT? WE'VE HEARD FROM OUR COMMUNITY, AND THAT IS AND I'VE HEARD FROM OTHER PEOPLE, INCLUDING OUR SBOE MEMBER, WHO SAYS BUYING TECHNOLOGY FOR THESE ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS IS NOT NOT THE WAY TO GO.

SO THAT'S JUST SOMETHING THAT I'D LIKE TO SEE.

AND THAT WOULD MEAN THAT THIS PACKAGE WOULD HAVE TO BE MODIFIED.

PRESIDENT BRYAN. SO AND THANK YOU TRUSTEE YEAGER, FOR THAT.

MR. STEWART, IF WE WERE TO DO THAT, AND I UNDERSTAND THAT IT TAKES SOME COORDINATION AND MAYBE SOME MORE THINKING ON IT, BUT WHAT WHAT THEN WOULD THAT CAN YOU GO BACK TO THE SLIDE THAT HAS THE OPTIONS.

AND SO DOING THAT WOULD SAVE 250,000.

YES SIR. WHICH WE'RE TALKING ABOUT.

OKAY. AND WHERE IS THIS MONEY COMING FROM AGAIN.

I MEAN WE DON'T DO WE HAVE BOND INTEREST OR ANY MR. JOHNSON? I MEAN, WHERE IS THIS COMING FROM? I WOULD PROPOSE AT THIS TIME THAT WE TAKE IT OUT OF FUND BALANCE.

I WOULD AMEND THE BUDGET FOR IT.

SO SAVINGS.

CORRECT? OKAY.

IS IT ACCURATE TO SAY THAT THE THE KEY KEYPADS FOR THE THIRD GRADE IPADS, THEY DON'T WORK ON THE FOURTH GRADE ONES? OR DO THEY? THEY DO NOT DO THE FOURTH GRADE BECAUSE THEY'RE BUILT INTO THE CASE.

AND APPLE DOES A FANTASTIC JOB OF MARKETING.

AND SO THEY CHANGED THE SHAPE OF THE IPAD SLIGHTLY THE DIMENSIONS OF IT.

SO THAT ONE GENERATION'S CASE DOESN'T WORK ON THE NEXT GENERATION IPAD.

SO THE FOURTH THE NEW FOURTH GRADE KEYBOARDS DO NOT WORK.

NO. SO THEY'D HAVE TO GIVE THEM THE WHOLE IPAD WITH THE CASE.

OKAY, SO I, I HAD ANOTHER QUESTION.

JUST TRYING TO BE AS CREATIVE AS POSSIBLE.

AND MISS PETTY, YOU MAY HAVE YOU MAY GET TO SPEAK INTO THIS.

THERE ARE NO TECHNOLOGY TWEAKS FOR PRE-K TO SECOND GRADE, RIGHT? THERE'S THERE ARE THERE, THERE ARE.

YEAH. THEY START.

I YEAH, YEAH.

IT JUST SO HAPPENS I'M CERTIFIED IN TECH APPS PRE-K THROUGH 12.

OKAY, WELL THAT'S GREAT.

I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT THE TECHNOLOGY TWEAKS ARE.

I WAS UNDER THE IMPRESSION THERE WEREN'T ANY.

AND THEY STARTED IN IN THIRD GRADE.

I WAS GOING TO TRY TO BE CREATIVE AND TAKE THOSE IPADS AWAY FROM THE PRE-K TO SECOND GRADERS AND SEE IF WE COULD USE THOSE IN SOME SORT OF CAPACITY, BUT I WOULD I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW THAT.

SO IS THAT DO YOU DO YOU WANT TO ADDRESS THAT? BECAUSE I BELIEVE YOU PROBABLY HAVE.

YES. SO WE JUST CAME OUT WITH NEW OR T JUST CAME OUT WITH NEW TECHNOLOGY APPLICATION TECHS AND THEY WILL BE IMPLEMENTED THE NEXT SCHOOL YEAR.

SO I AM GOING TO SPEND MY SUMMER PUTTING THESE TECHNOLOGY APPLICATION TWEAKS INTO OUR SCOPE AND SEQUENCE DOCUMENTS WITH OUR CURRICULUM WRITERS WHEN THEY COME IN DURING THE SUMMER, BUT THEY K THROUGH SECOND, IT'S NOT PRE-K, KINDERGARTEN THROUGH EIGHTH GRADE.

ARE THE TECHNOLOGY APPLICATION TWEAKS.

KEYBOARDING TWEAKS START AT THIRD GRADE, WHICH IS WHY WHEN WE ORIGINALLY DID THE 1 TO 1 DEVICES, WE BOUGHT CASES WITH KEYBOARDS FOR THIRD AND FOURTH GRADE AND THEN OUR KINDERGARTEN THROUGH SECOND GRADE.

THEY JUST HAVE A PROTECTIVE CASE WITHOUT A KEYBOARD.

MAN. YEAH, WELL THAT'S UNFORTUNATE.

CAN YOU SHARE WITH US WHAT THOSE ARE? I CAN I'M IN THE PROCESS OF DEVELOPING SPREADSHEETS, SO IT'S MORE USER FRIENDLY, LIKE THE LANGUAGE.

I'M HAPPY TO SEND YOU GUYS THOSE.

OKAY. THANK YOU. MR. STEWART, I'M KIND OF CURIOUS ABOUT A COUPLE OF THINGS.

FIRST OF ALL I UNDERSTAND ALL OF OUR CONCERN ABOUT STAAR TESTING, AND I HOPE WE CAN GET AWAY FROM IT SOMEHOW.

BUT THE COMPUTERS AREN'T JUST FOR STAAR TESTING, RIGHT? THEY'RE FOR REGULAR INSTRUCTION AND USE BY STUDENTS.

AND I APPRECIATE THAT.

WE'RE LOOKING FOR WAYS TO SAVE COSTS, BUT WHAT I THINK I JUST HEARD YOU KIND OF DESCRIBE IS, I THINK A REFRESH OR A REPLACEMENT OF ALL OF THE DEVICES, OR IS IT JUST AT A CERTAIN AGE? I WASN'T CLEAR ABOUT WHEN WE TALK ABOUT REFRESH, LIKE, IS IT IS IT ALL OF A CERTAIN GROUP OF DEVICES.

SO THIS PROPOSAL THAT'S ON YOUR SCREEN NOW IS THE ONLY STUDENTS THAT ARE IMPACTED BY IT ARE GRADES FIVE AND SIX.

AND SO IF THIS IS ACCEPTED OR APPROVED OR SO THEY WOULD GET NEW CHROMEBOOKS AND THEIR CURRENT DEVICES THAT ARE IN LIFE CYCLE WOULD MOVE TO GRADES NINE AND TEN.

WHAT IS CURRENT GRADES NINE.

NEXT YEAR THEY'LL BE GRADES TEN AND 11 BECAUSE THEY'RE DEVICES THAT THOSE TWO GRADE LEVELS NINE AND TEN ARE OUT OF LIFE CYCLE.

SO REALLY IN GRADES FIVE THROUGH 12, ALL THE STUDENTS FOR THE MOST PART HAVE DEVICES IN LIFE CYCLE EXCEPT FOR GRADES NINE AND TEN RIGHT NOW.

[02:10:03]

AND THEN IN THIS WHAT WE'VE BEEN DISCUSSING SO FAR IS WHETHER TO REFRESH THE THIRD GRADE IPADS OR NOT.

SO THERE'S NOT A LARGER SCALE REFRESH THAN THAT.

SO THE WAY YOU WERE DESCRIBING, IF WE STUCK WITH WHAT WE HAVE, WE'RE GOING TO RUN OUT OF DEVICES OR EQUIPMENT.

AND IF WE REPLACE IT, WE'LL BE, YOU KNOW, BACK TO BRAND NEW.

BUT I'M JUST CURIOUS, IS THERE NOT AN IN BETWEEN WHERE YOU BUY SOME NUMBER OF DEVICES THAT OR KEYBOARDS OR WHATEVER EQUIPMENT YOU NEED THAT WILL GIVE YOU A STOCK OF REPLACEMENTS VERSUS A FULL REFRESH? I MEAN, I DON'T KNOW HOW MANY OF EACH DEVICE AND WHAT ALL YOU NEED, BUT IS THERE SOMETHING IN BETWEEN? SO THE, THE THE CURRENT GRADES NINE AND TEN, THEY'RE LAPTOPS THAT ARE A 33 TO 80 MODEL.

IS THAT CORRECT? NO, 3300.

THEY'RE CURRENTLY FIVE YEARS OLD RIGHT NOW.

AND SO THEY ARE THEY ARE ROUGH AND DUE FOR A REFRESH.

I HAVE A I HAVE I HAVE A CURRENT 10TH GRADER, SO I CAN CORROBORATE YOUR STORY.

AND SO IT WOULD BE DIFFICULT FOR US TO SAY, HEY.

I DON'T KNOW. A THROUGH M YOU GET A NEW ONE AND N THROUGH Z.

YOU GET STUCK WITH THE OLD ONE OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT? THEY'RE ALL FIVE YEARS OLD ACROSS THE BOARD ON THEM.

AND SO THEY'LL HIT SIX YEARS NEXT YEAR.

WHAT OTHER DOWNSIDES? AND MAYBE YOU'VE COVERED THEM ALL.

ARE THERE WITH NOT GOING WITH THE OPTION ONE? THERE ARE THE NON OPTION ONE.

THE OPTION TWO IS FOR BYOD.

ARE YOU SAYING WHAT ARE THE WHAT ARE THE DOWNSIDES OF THAT OPTION.

WELL NO.

OR JUST KEEPING THE DEVICES WHERE THEY'RE AT.

YEAH. IT WOULD BE CONTINUED CONTINUED BREAKAGE AND FRUSTRATION AND TRYING TO WORK EFFECTIVELY ON DEVICES THAT YES, HAVEN'T BEEN NECESSARILY ALWAYS TREATED GINGERLY.

BUT THAT ARE IMPACTING INSTRUCTION AND BOOT UP TIMES AND, AND MORE TIME AWAY FROM CLASS AS THEY GO TO THE SHOP TO GET REPAIRED.

AND WE HAVE A WE'RE NOT SAYING THAT THERE'S A 10% REPAIR RATE.

I THINK WHEN WE LOOKED AT THIS BACK IN NOVEMBER YOU COULD SEE THAT YOU HAVE MORE THAN A 50% REPAIR RATE.

AND SO THEY'RE REGULARLY PULLING THESE DEVICES OUT.

WE SHIP THEM OFF TO DELL.

THEY DON'T HAVE THEIR REGULAR LAPTOP.

AND IF YOU'VE HAD YOUR LAPTOP AWAY FROM YOU, YOU KNOW HOW IT IMPACTS YOUR PRODUCTIVITY.

THEY'RE IMPACTING A LOT OF THINGS.

WHEN DOES WHEN EXACTLY WOULD YOU PROPOSE THAT THE COST HIT? AND I THINK WE MIGHT HAVE HEARD FROM MR. JOHNSON THAT IT'S ALL OUT OF FUND BALANCE.

OR IS ANY PORTION OF IT ALREADY PLANNED FOR.

THERE ISN'T MONEY IN MY 199 FOR THIS ELEMENT.

THE BEST TIME TO PURCHASE THESE THINGS WOULD BE SOON, BECAUSE THEY TAKE A WHILE FOR THEM TO MANUFACTURE AND SHIP THEM, USUALLY FROM CHINA TO US. AND SO IT TAKES A FEW MONTHS FOR US TO GET THEM HERE.

AND THEN WE WORK TO GET THEM KIND OF BUNDLED UP WITH IMAGED AND GET THEM READY SO THAT WHEN THE STUDENTS RETURN IN AUGUST WE'RE READY TO SWAP OUT DEVICES.

AND OUR SENIORS, THEY, WE COLLECT THEM.

SO SOME OF THESE REFRESHES HAPPEN AT THE END OF SCHOOL YEAR.

WE TRY TO GET OUR TEACHERS IF THEY'RE IN THE GROUP, THAT WOULD GET A NEW LAPTOP THAT BEFORE THEY LEAVE FOR SUMMER.

OVER THE SUMMER, WE REPLACE THE DESKTOPS.

AND WHEN THEY RETURN IN THE FALL, WE REPLACE THE STUDENT LAPTOPS.

AND THIS ORDERING SOON GETS ALL THOSE DEVICES HERE SO THAT WE HAVE THEM WHEN IT'S BEST TO INSTALL THEM.

MR. STEWART, WHAT DO WE DO WITH THE OLD DEVICES? IS THERE ANY SALVAGE VALUE? THERE IS NOT A LOT.

I THINK YOU'RE USUALLY LOOKING AROUND 30 BUCKS.

OKAY. A COUPLE OF QUICK QUESTIONS.

YEAH, ABSOLUTELY. SO WITH THE GOOGLE DEVICES, HOW MUCH DATA DOES GOOGLE COLLECT? FROM THESE DEVICES? OR IS THERE ANY I MEAN, CAN WE LIMIT WHAT THEY COLLECT? THERE WOULDN'T BE ANY MORE THAN THERE ALREADY CURRENTLY COLLECTING BECAUSE WE ALREADY ARE USING THE GOOGLE.

SWEET COMFORTING. OH, THERE YOU GO.

FULLY. ARE WE USING GOOGLE GEMINI? THE I SWEET NO GOOD ANSWER, BUT WE'RE ALREADY WE'RE ALREADY USING GOOGLE DOCS.

GOOGLE SHEETS. THAT'S OUR MAIN COMPETITION TOOL.

AND AND THERE WE HAVE REVIEWED THEIR PRIVACY POLICY AND MADE SURE THAT YES, THEY'RE NOT MARKETING OR SELLING THAT INFORMATION.

[02:15:01]

BUT YES, OUR FILES, THE FILE THAT YOU'RE CURRENTLY LOOKING AT IS ON GOOGLE DRIVE.

ALL RIGHT. THANK YOU.

COULD YOU GO TO THE REFURBISHMENT FOR THE AV.

SO WHAT'S THE TOTAL COST TO REPLACE A SINGLE PROJECTOR? THE COST FOR THE NEXT GENERATION.

I'M ASSUMING THIS IS JUST ACQUISITION COST.

THIS IS THE IT'S THIS.

THE HIGH SCHOOL IS THE THIRD ROW.

AND SO THE THE NEW IT WOULD BE A LASER PROJECTOR WOULD BE $1,400, WHEREAS OUR CURRENT GEN PROJECTORS PURCHASING THEM IS $1,400. AND THE LASER PROJECTOR HAS A MUCH LONGER LIFE CYCLE BECAUSE YOU'RE NOT SWAPPING OUT THOSE INCANDESCENT BULBS.

SO HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO REPLACE ONE OF THESE PROJECTORS? WE'RE BUYING THEM WITH THE SAME THROW LENGTH.

AND SO IT'S REALLY JUST A FEW BOLTS TO TAKE ONE DOWN AND PLUG A NEW ONE UP ON THE SAME MOUNT.

AND SO THE IDEA IS THAT WE WILL HANDLE THAT IN HOUSE.

IN OUR LAST PURCHASE WE DID A LARGE SCALE SIMULTANEOUSLY.

AND SO THAT TAKES A LOT OF STAFFING TO DO IT.

IN THIS ROLLOUT PLAN.

WE CAN ALSO HANDLE THAT KIND OF IN HOUSE.

AND SO NICK ROSSELLO THAT IF YOU SEE THROUGH THE WINDOWS IN THERE, HE WOULD END HIS SCHEDULE, HAVE LIKE A TUESDAYS AND THURSDAYS FOR A FEW HOURS EVERY WEEK.

HE WOULD GO OUT AND SWAP TEN PROJECTORS UNTIL HE GETS IT DONE AND HARVEST THOSE TEN.

IF IF OF THE TEN HE SWAPS, NINE OF THEM ARE GOOD.

WE'D STORE THOSE IN OUR WAREHOUSE AND USE THEM FOR SWAPS AS OTHERS FAIL.

OKAY. AND HOW MANY PROJECTED FAILURES DO YOU PROJECT NEXT YEAR? OR HAVE YOU? FROM OUR FROM OUR GRAPH HERE.

I MEAN, WE HAD 12 LAST YEAR.

WE'VE HAD 19 ALREADY THIS YEAR.

AND SO YES, WE WOULD FORESEE SOMEWHERE IN THE 30 TO PLUS RANGE FOR FOR NEXT YEAR.

OKAY. AND THEN THAT EXPONENTIAL GROWTH CONTINUING TO HAPPEN IN YEARS FUTURE.

ALL RIGHT. THANK YOU. YEP.

MR. STEWART, ONE LAST QUESTION.

IF I KNOW YOU'VE RECOMMENDED OPTION ONE, IF WE DO NOT GO WITH OPTION ONE, ARE WE FALLING BEHIND IN TECHNOLOGY EITHER COMPARED TO OTHER SCHOOL DISTRICTS OR EVEN WITH OUR OWN YOU KNOW, STUDENTS SUPPORT AND OFFERING THEM TECHNOLOGY.

I WOULD SAY YES.

I THINK THE CONSENSUS IN EDUCATION TODAY IS THAT PROVIDING STUDENTS DEVICES IS THE BEST WAY TO, TO KIND OF MAKE TECHNOLOGY DISAPPEAR SO THAT YOU'RE NOT HAVING TO FOCUS ON, HEY, YOU BROUGHT IN AN ANDROID TABLET AND YOU BROUGHT IN A MACBOOK, AND YOU BROUGHT IN YOUR IPHONE AND YOU BROUGHT IN A WINDOWS AND ALL FROM DIFFERENT MANUFACTURERS.

AND I'M SAYING, HEY, I NEED YOU TO MAKE THIS VIDEO SLIDE DECK OR WHATEVER.

AND THEN YOU IT BECOMES SO FRUSTRATING.

AND THAT'S KIND OF WHY EDUCATORS HAVE SAID I CAN'T.

THAT JUST DOESN'T WORK.

WE'RE GOING TO HAVE TO MOVE BACK TO WORKSHEETS.

I THINK A POINT TO MAKE ON THAT TO MR. STEWART. AND ONCE AGAIN, MR. GILLIS, YOU MAY WANT TO CHIME IN ON THIS, BUT ALL OF OUR INSTRUCTIONAL RESOURCES, OUR TEXTBOOKS, ALL OF THE ALL OF THE THEY'RE THEY'RE ALL ONLINE, ALL OF OUR RESOURCES WE PURCHASE ARE ONLINE. SO HAVING STUDENTS HAVING ACCESS TO THE RESOURCES, THE TEXTBOOKS ARE ALL THROUGH EITHER IPADS OR LAPTOPS.

SO THAT'S THAT'S SOMETHING TO CONSIDER AS WE MOVE FORWARD.

I AGREE WE WOULD HAVE TO HAVE A CURRICULUM OVERHAUL, WHICH AS YOU SAID BEFORE, WE'RE ALREADY SHORT STAFFED IN THE CURRICULUM DEPARTMENT AND THAT WOULD TAKE AN ARMY.

SO. JUST ONE MORE QUESTION, MR. STEWART. YOU MAY HAVE MENTIONED THIS AND I JUST MISSED IT, BUT THE NEW ACQUISITION COST FOR A LASER PROJECTOR.

WHY IS THAT DIFFERENT AT THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS VERSUS THE HIGH SCHOOLS? ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS DO NOT HAVE PROJECTORS.

THEY HAVE LED PANELS THAT ARE MORE EXPENSIVE.

THEY HAVE. REALLY BIG TVS.

WHEREAS THE GRADES FIVE THROUGH 12 HAVE AN INTERACTIVE PROJECTOR.

BOTH OF THEM ARE INTERACTIVE, BUT THE SECONDARY TEACHERS REALLY FELT LIKE THEY NEEDED THE DRY ERASE SPACE.

AND SO THE PROJECTOR SHINES ONTO A DRY ERASE BOARD.

SO EVEN WHEN IT'S OFF, YOU CAN USE IT AS A DRY ERASE BOARD.

WHEREAS THE LED PANEL, WHEN IT'S OFF, YOU DON'T WANT TO USE IT AS A DRY ERASE BOARD.

OKAY. THANKS.

YEP. IS THERE ANY REASON WHY MR. JOHNSON. MR. JOHNSON, OUR BUDGET WORKSHOP IS MONDAY NEXT MONDAY.

I ME PERSONALLY AM NOT COMFORTABLE YET PULLING THE TRIGGER ON ONE OF THESE OPTIONS.

I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO GO THROUGH THAT BUDGET WORKSHOP NEXT MONDAY TO GET AN ENTIRE PICTURE OF WHAT WE'RE LOOKING AT, JUST TO KIND OF CONTEMPLATE HOW THIS IMPACTS THAT, AND WE KNOW HOW IT'S GOING TO IMPACT STUDENTS AND OUR TECHNICAL DEVICES AND THAT TYPE OF THING.

[02:20:01]

BUT I WOULD LIKE TO SEE HOW IT'S GOING TO IMPACT OUR BUDGET AND COMING FROM FUND BALANCE AND ALL THAT TYPE OF THING.

SO UNLESS I GET A MOTION FROM A TRUSTEE, I WOULD I'M GOING TO MOVE TO TABLE.

SO I GUESS I'LL GO AHEAD AND MOVE TO TABLE ITEM 11.3.

CONSIDER FOR APPROVAL ACQUISITION OF TECHNOLOGY RESOURCES.

I SECOND THAT WE'VE GOT A MOTION AND A SECOND.

ALL IN FAVOR. MOTION CARRIES 7 TO 0.

THANK YOU, MR. STEWART. THANK YOU.

APPRECIATE IT. ALL RIGHT MOVING ON TO 11.4, MR. JOHNSON, CONSIDER FOR APPROVAL BUDGET AMENDMENT NUMBER 003-24.

THANK YOU, PRESIDENT BRYAN.

BASICALLY, I WAS AMENDING WE WERE PROPOSING AN AMENDMENT IN ANTICIPATION OF THE PURCHASE.

SO IF IF ALL IS LIKE YOU WANT TO WAIT UNTIL THEN, THEN IT PROBABLY MAKES SENSE TO WAIT UNTIL MAYBE ON THIS WORKSHOP.

OKAY, THAT THAT WAS WHAT THIS BUDGET AMENDMENT WAS GOING TO BE.

OKAY. I GOT IT, OKAY.

THANK YOU, MR. JOHNSON.

EXCELLENT. I THINK THE SHORTEST YOU'VE EVER BEEN AT THE PODIUM.

I'M TRYING. VERY EXCITING.

I'M A STRONG SUIT. RIGHT, I COULD HAVE.

HE WALKED UP, RIGHT? YEAH. ALL RIGHT, ALL RIGHT, LET'S MOVE ON TO OUR LAST ITEM ON THE AGENDA.

[12. CONSENT AGENDA]

CONSENT AGENDA. I KNOW WE HAVE MANY DONATIONS.

TRUSTEE. RAY YEAGER, ARE YOU READY TO CALL THOSE DONATIONS? THANK YOU, PRESIDENT BRYAN.

I'LL GO THROUGH THESE VERY QUICKLY.

THE ORGANIZATION AND THE AMOUNT.

AND NOW LEAVE THE PURPOSE FOR FOLKS TO TO CLICK ON THESE BUT TO ALL OF THE, THE BOOSTERS, TO EVERY ONE OF THESE GROUPS AND TOSE JUST THIS BOARD MYSELF, ALL OF US, WE THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL YOU DO.

WE WOULD NOT HAVE A DISTRICT WITH THIS EXCELLENCE WITHOUT YOUR HELP.

SO THANK YOU SO MUCH.

THE FIRST ONE FROM THE AP BOOSTERS, A DONATION AMOUNT OF $12,360.

THE NEXT FROM THE CARROLL SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL CHOIR BOOSTERS IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $9,000.

JUST AS AN FYI, THIS WAS THE USE OF A CHARTER BUS FOR A CHOIR TRIP TO OMAHA, NEBRASKA.

THAT'S JUST WONDERFUL.

I'M GLAD OUR DRAGON STUDENTS COULD DO THAT.

AND THANK YOU. THE CARROLL HIGH SCHOOL PTO IN THE AMOUNT OF $17,000, THE CARROLL MIDDLE SCHOOL PTA.

SO A DONATION OF $25,000.

2506 SEVEN ACTUALLY AND WE THANK THEM, THE JOHNSON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PTO IN-KIND CONTRIBUTION OF $5,991. THANK YOU.

THE JOHNSON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PTO A IN-KIND CONTRIBUTION.

IF YOU CAN GET THIS OF $76,081.

I THINK THEY JUST MIGHT HAVE SAID A NEW PTO RECORD FOR SINGLE DONATION EUBANKS NOT FAR BEHIND THEIR PTO, A MONETARY COMBINED WITH IN-KIND CONTRIBUTION OF $33,507.

THANK YOU. EUBANKS PTO AND THE CARROLL SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL PTO IN-KIND AND MONETARY DONATION OF $17,000 SO YOU CAN SEE TRULY WONDERFUL WORK BY OUR TOES.

AND THANK YOU ALL.

ABSOLUTELY IS. THANK YOU.

TRUSTEE YEAGER, I MOVE TO ADJOURN THE MEETING.

NO, WE HAVE TO APPROVE THE CONSENT AGENDA.

THERE WE GO. I MOVE TO PRESENT.

I SECOND THAT. ALL RIGHT.

WE GOT A MOTION THAT WE'RE OKAY.

WE'VE GOT A MOTION AND A SECOND.

ALL IN FAVOR? MOTION CARRIES 7 TO 0.

IF NO OBJECTION, WE WILL ADJOURN THIS MEETING AT 8:24 P.M..
